Far too relatable. 😂 Shirley Jackson‘s humor is just as well-delivered and on point as her horror!

This is about 20 years before Clifford the Big, Red Dog, but they‘re thinking of names for a big red puppy, and look at that, Clifford is a suggestion.

I had a cat (Snowy) who loved cantaloupe, too! If you cut up a cantaloupe, you would have to give him some and take the rinds out to the garbage right away—if there was any in the kitchen trash he would knock it over. I guess it‘s just something the occasional cat really enjoys.

This book is so relatable 😂 We‘re not going to move, though, so I guess we better get rid of some stuff!

Also, thank goodness for routine spays and neuters. My cats are NOT going to have kittens.

Apparently this is the book I‘ve borrowed from my MIL, not Life Among the Savages 😆 Oh well, the important things are that I found it, and that it is still my #bookspin! My library has Life Among the Savages so I put that on hold.

Oops. I meant to post this one. Not Life Among the Savages. I am on day 12 at home with 4 kids in 1500 square feet. My mind is not what it once was. Lol.

Here are my planned reads for #24b4monday this weekend! I‘m taking a sick day today because my husband gave me his gnarly cold, so now I have nothing planned but lots of reading and drinking lots of tea (and okay, probably a fair amount of napping!). I have the tagged book and Dinosaurs in progress, then a reread of Fangirl because of all my Simon and Baz feelings, and then hopefully getting to this recent YA release. 🤞🏻

I loved loved loved Life Among the Savages, so I immediately bought this one after finishing it. Looking forward to reading it this weekend!
