soft pick. I had issues: the romance starts when Callie (a siren)& Des (a Fae King, the Bargainer) are 16 and 500? The author takes care to say she‘s an adult in paranormal world …but ick. Callie‘s abusive stepfather backstory is rehashed too much. Callie is supposed to be helping Des in Otherworld but that plot comes together randomly in 50 pages. It has a good moral. If book 2 stays current& doesn‘t take Callie back to being 16, could be great
Romance - not my genre.
The premise started out creepy. Otherwise I liked Des, more so in the current timeline. I felt Callie started a little pathetic but grew into a less YA character, interesting.
A siren & a fae king, he can get you anything for a price & hasn‘t collected on this debt until now. The baddie is his foe. Des needs her gifts to help solve the mystery but now the foe has his eyes set on Callie.
Easy read. Some spice.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What makes “Rhapsodic“ unique compared to typical romances is that it is a perfect combination of both romance and supernatural thriller. Thalassa is a master of utilizing adjectives and her rich imagery sucks the readers into a world of fairies, demons, and warlocks....

I saw this one recommended on a Facebook group for someone looking for something specific (but I don‘t remember what). This is a dark fantasy, the MC has been through a lot, but tries to not think of herself as a victim. You get present day and 7 years ago in the past. You watch the relationships unfold. This is the 1st book in a trilogy that I plan to continue.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ TW for sexual abuse, rape.

Laura Thalassa is becoming one of my favorite authors. I love the world she built in this one. I look forward to the next one in this series!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Meh, Im hoping this book is character development & the rest of the series is better. I've seen a lot of reviews saying there's grooming? I disagree; Because of Callie's bargain/wish the "magic" separated them for 7 years. He waited all that time for her. I guess you could say. Being fae and not knowing how old he really is and her being 16 at first?ACOTAR had a similar age gap& we all loved that shit. THEYRE MATES WE ALL KNOW ITS COMING **eyeroll
Make a deal if you dare…

I really enjoyed this one. Paranormal romance that was really a quick read that was easy to fall into. I would‘ve liked the ending to not have been so easily tied up but aside from that total fan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
While I'm not a romance reader, I did appreciate the magic and supernatural elements. If you enjoy stories of romance accented with fantasy this is the book for you. I did think the conflicts resolved too quickly, and I would have liked to see more back and forth. Will I read the next book? Maybe. I do want to know how Calypso is going to recover.

WOOT WOOT! I got my first bingo tonight for #bookspinbingo For a little while I thought it might not happen, but I am in the process of getting another one tomorrow. And hopefully I can have two more before the end of the month, possibly wishful thinking, but I‘m going for it… LOL
4.9⭐️ Loved loves loved this story. I love how the writer incorporated the fated mates but with a twist. I am looking forward to finishing the series.
The premise of this interested me but I felt there was just too much romance and it completely overtook what promised to be an amazing story. Also I love this cover.
Callie has made a horrible decision but at this point it was the only thing that kept her alive but will she be able to live with the consequences when the police come to get her? She only has one option to make, a deal with the Bargainer. Seven years later, Callie is still battling her past and running a PI shop with her best friend. The only issue is she still has 322 favors she owes the Bargainer and he‘s come back to collect.

Between a pick and a so-so.
The book is entertaining, but it has some issues. It is somewhat slow to start, but rushed towards the end. Plus, the ebook is full of typos. I‘m also not a fan of “alpha” males, “mates”, or pushy-but-supposedly-nice behaviors. Especially not when it‘s telling a depressed person to get up.
I read this book solely on the recommendation of a friend because I‘ve stayed away from romance heavy books in recent years, but it surprised me, I very much enjoyed it and will continue to read the series. I can‘t wait to see more of Callie‘s growth and transformation, her and Des‘s relationship and the adventures they have.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Ten points to Slytherin for the creepy answer.
Best quote ever from a non Harry Potter book about Harry Potter!
I. COULD. NOT. PUT. THIS. BOOK. DOWN. I ended up finishing it within hours it was just that good! The characters, plot and writing instantly had me hooked. I enjoyed this book so much I will definitely be purchasing the physical copies the entire series! I am extremely excited to start the next book!
I signed up for a 1-month free trial of Kindle Unlimited, which turned out to be the perfect opportunity to start this PNR series I've been eyeing for awhile. I'm enjoying it so far, but can't help but wish that not every PNR heroine has to be a private investigator--why can't one of them be a teacher, or work at Target?
After reading Sarah J Maas I had a serious book hangover and this story while different was also a wonderful romantic fantasy.
My knuckles go white as my grip on the porcelain tightens. Now I know what Desmond cashed that one particular bead in for. Sobriety. Forget the supernatural bounty hunters that are after him; that fucker is mine.
Over all, it's a decent book. I liked it enough to want to give book 2 a shot. I personally felt the ending was rushed, it didn't tie up any loose ends. Callie turned into a damsel of distress trope for me and I was not a huge fan of that. Maybe the second book answers the questions I have, but I guess I'll see when I read it. Over all- a good read if you're looking to not think, but definitely not a read if you like to over analyze books.
Do you love sexy fae males? With bat wings? Who make bargains? Who rule the night court? As similar as Des is to Rhys, the plot of this book is completely different, but still just as interesting and intense as ACOTAR! Definitely recommend this book.
What a great book!! Fantastic characters...Callie & Des have a badass love story, & if you love intrigue, fairies and sirens and all things Otherworld, this book is for you. Can't wait for the next one.
This was such a great read!! My Review is here http://bit.ly/2nhze64 #Rhapsodic #bookreviews #books #bibliophile #reading
Love, love, love, love, love this story!! This story hit me on a personal level and is wonderfully told. Plus, the main male character is hot! I have a thing for alpha males 😄 I can't wait for the next book!
