What a thrill ride!
Marjorie Liu's Han Solo miniseries is so much fan. Liu nails the high octane pacing by putting Han and Chewie into a deadly race as cover for a mission to extract Rebel spies before a mole can assassinate them. The overlapping dangers and mysterious create tons of tension, and Mark Brooks' art is terrific.
The artwork was great, but I love this variant image. I‘d love that blown up as a poster.
I wasn‘t quite ready to leave Han Solo and gang yet - - - after my reread of Last Shot, and this was a fun comic compilation of a 5 episode arc. A mission for the rebellion and a space race, and Han coming to terms with the new emotions he‘s feeling and denying. 💙
Happy May the 4th be with you!

Had to show the hardbound cover art underneath the dust jacket; the Millennium Falcon is gorgeous!!!
Starting this comic; gearing up for Star Wars Day!

I own this beauty! 😍 Bought it with my birthday B&N gift cards!
Han Solo is a “Top Gun” pilot directing the Millennium Falcon through races and Kessel Runs!
I watched #Solo, about Han #Solo, when it came out and it was kind of meh. Not terrible, but not great - and I‘m not convinced we really needed it to move the various stories in the SW universe forward.

Also, am I the only person still tagging #LitsyQuoteChallenge?
On to my #owlsreadthon2018 Astronomy pick...despite Han usually being more likable in books I just don't want to read this but alas...its a library book and I am doing the summer reading program. 😅
To celebrate my viewing of #SoloAStarWarsStory , I present to you , my geeky pups 😂🐶
I've seen online that Solo is getting a lot of slack, but I can't understand why because I went into the cinema with no expectations and just wanting to enjoy a Star Wars movie and it was very enjoyable !

In honor of Solo coming out today, here is Han and I in the cockpit of the Falcon! 😍
(It was one of those cardboard displays at the movie theater when I went and saw Infinity War)
Haven‘t seen the Solo movie yet, but hoping to do so soon!
In this case, Skottie Young‘s variant cover is just one of the amazing things about this comic. I had forgotten it was written by Marjorie Liu—definitely another awesome thing. Loved the storyline—Princess Leia does not disappoint—and the great artwork. So yeah, my husband picked this up for me because of Skottie Young‘s cover but I definitely think I want to read more! Oh yeah—it‘s Han Solo so of course I had to photograph it with his ship.😊
Aw man, this was exactly the Han Solo comic I wanted. Liu's script is great, Brooks's art is awesome, and the two halves mesh beautifully. It's EXCITING, what with the deadly race across the galaxy, but it's also packed with moral issues and just the right amount of mysticism to keep Han on his toes. #comics
.. It's Dangerous To Read Solo .. Take A Wookiee With You .. (during May the 4th) 🤓
I'll be honest: when I first heard there was a Han Solo comic miniseries, I was Not Interested. But then I heard Marjorie Liu was writing it. I read and loved the first issue, and now that the whole collection is out, I reread it. It really captures the fun of Star Wars and Han Solo with an exciting story and great characters.
