pickThis was the second book in the Mary Poppins series, and I have to say overall it was a delightful read. Each chapter really stood alone as it‘s own story, although there were some repeat of characters in the book, as well as some return of characters from the first film. This really does give you a bit of a different feel to the character of Mary Poppins to the original film. I look forward to continuing with the magical series.

pickI started reading Mary Poppins Comes Back after watching Mary Poppins Returns. I'd heard so many people talking about how different the films was, but I was surprised how much they actually used.
I love how Mary Poppins is quite mean. She almost makes people think they're losing their minds by telling them all the magic things didn't happen.
I would definitely recommend reading the book for anyone who needs a bit of magic in their lives.

Saw the new Mary Poppins Returns movie today. Started my new year off practically perfect in every way! I love the original movie and you can‘t touch it, but this sequel really keeps true to the spirit of the original. The casting, the storyline, the music, and the animation are all a nod to the Disney classic. And I love the song “A Cover Is Not the Book”! My book nerdy heart and inner child were so touched. ❤️💙❤️
pickWhen I was very little my father bought stories on cassette - including all of the Mary Poppins Stories. I also took them out of the library. They were beyond beloved to me, and of course I bought them when I had children as well as downloaded from audible. I was nervous about the movie, but to be honest- it was practically perfect in every way. ❤️❤️❤️

Nothing can ever replace the original but this was very well done. So well, I saw it twice this week.
This movie was AWESOME. When it finished I said “Rewind the tape I want to watch it again.” No higher praise for a nostalgia trip like this!
