I‘ve read a lot of Michael Connelly Bosch novels but surprisingly, not Haller. Here we go!
I read this about a decade ago, but decided to read it again and continue the series. I didn't remember much of anything from my first read, so all the twists surprised me. A good, complex mystery. I would have gone right on to book 2 but there's a waiting list on Libby.
I'm not a fan of courtroom dramas, but this one is pretty enjoyable. I also wasn't sure what I'd think of Mickey Haller, but I was pleasantly surprised to find he's a fairly likeable character. It was also fun to see another side of some of the smaller stories from Connelly's other books.

Down the Lincoln Lawyer rabbit hole I go. . . . Read my full review here: https://debbybrauer.org/#the-lincoln-lawyer-mickey-haller-1
Anybody else kinda stoked for the new Lincoln Lawyer series on Netflix? The movie was great, obviously, but I've always felt like there was plenty of material for a Mickey Haller series so I'm excited. Looks like the plot starts with book 2 (The Brass Verdict) ⚖️
Episode 92 just dropped. We talk a little Michael Connelly, Peter's water heater goes out, Westley the dog has a brief but loud cameo, and we select a May book of the month. It's available on all major podcast platforms. Enjoy!

March Beer and Books Club choice. It has some pretty amazing reviews, so I hope it lives up to its reputation.
First one that came to mind for #courtroom - absolutely riveting drama

Hell yes, this book is fantastic! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, excellent plot, characters, and pacing. I'm really leaning into my current crime fiction obsession, and so far have not been disappointed. Makes me question how it's possible that I had never read a Michael Connelly before 😱
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I can‘t believe I never read this book before. Now it‘s time to watch the movie. Mickey Haller is such a different character then Bosch, the total opposite side for sure. But the storyline, pace, and characters drew me in. I‘m glad there‘s more & it isn‘t just a one-off.
So my lovely Littens, this grid represents books that have long been sitting on my TBR! So yeah. Tagged my favorite.
5* = Loved It, want non-reader IRL friends to read. I do/will own a physical copy. A+
4*= I liked it, would love to discuss. Solid B
3*=Meh, no need to discuss. Average C
2*=Nope D
1*=DNF F
I loved this movie and when I found the book looking like a kitten (named Matthew McConaughey) needing a home, I had to adopt it. I didn‘t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Now I want to read the next book in the series!
Great read 👍🏻 great characters and a couple of unexpected plot twists. Love Connelly‘s writing, fast paced and exciting.
Somehow I started a new series 😁
I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

My favorite literary siblings are Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller. They couldn't be more different, and yet, they are both so similar.
Thanks for this great opportunity. It took me some time to think about which characters I really kept going back to, and enjoyed. These guys were the ones.
Good luck, everyone!
My cat is really enjoying my books! She's keeping me company while I read - perfect afternoon: a good book and my cat keeping company! #catsoflitsy
#photoadaynov16 Day 2 Mickey Haller operates his office out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car. This series is really good and ties into Connelly's Harry Bosch series. It's not necessary to have read the Bosch books though, I haven't yet. Also, this was great on audio. #planestrainsautomobiles
The book is almost always better and that's true with this one too. However, the movie is really good as well.
This was a twisty exciting ride through Los Angeles. The plot was intriguing enough to keep me curious until the end. I learned many lawyerly maneuvers. Very entertaining.
Happy late birthday to Michael Connelly, one of our best chroniclers of contemporary urban life - and a hell of a thriller writer to boot. His books are a big part of my "love from afar" of Los Angeles. (And definitely give Bosch a shot on Amazon if you haven't already!)
My To Be Read list part 1 😂😂😂 i have sooo many books i want to read! Does this happen to you too? Please tell me im not alone!
