Knitting to the audiobook this morning.
Working my way through Sue Grafton‘s Kinsey Milhone books on audiobook while doing chores. The tagged book was the best of the four in my opinion, and H is for Homicide was my least favorite. I am enjoying them keeping me company during chores.
1. In grateful for Louise Penny. She not only created a great character in Armand Gamache, but also she‘s a very passionate advocate for the mystery genre.
2. Not specifically. Maybe I should start doing that?
3. I‘m grateful for all of the Alphabet books. The series was my “gateway” to mysteries back in the day, and that‘s enriched my reading life greatly ever since.

Also, I love used books where people underline or writ things.. like this whole “haha“ was littered throughout this copy! Its super cute!

Started this one yesterday when my husband was gambling our life savings (just kidding - but we were at a casino and that is my excuse to hide in a chair and drink coffee and read!) --- Also I NOW make it a point to marry someone who won't murder me. Ha!

I took a little break from this series. I missed it!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oddly, the only thing that came back to me during this re-read is when Henry‘s brother William meets Rosie (Kinsey fans will know these characters). So the ending was a surprise; this was a quick read so I could find out “whodunnit”. I think this one was when Grafton really began to make her mysteries more intricate and developed.
The past three weekends, including this one, have been hectic and draining! Each weekend involved helping a kid move.
Relaxing with this re-read of the Kinsey Millhone series. On the letter “I” now.
Finished this ones ages ago! I enjoyed the “cold case” aspect of this one, along with what Grafton did to throw the reader off the scent - plus, that last scene! Man (or should I say, “woman”) alive!
Really enjoying this series. I‘m impressed with Sue Grafton‘s ability to create all of these interesting cases for Kinsey to investigate. In this installment, she takes over the investigation a 6-year-old murder from another detective who unexpectedly died. IMHO, there were a lot of characters to keep straight in my head while listening to the audiobook. #MountTBR

Reading this title and whole series again. Love this series and enjoying my rereading.
I enjoyed this book. At first it was slow but it definitely picked up pace halfway through the book. This time around Kinsey is working a case involving a 6 year old murder where the guy who got out of jail who murdered the woman is now going up against a civil case. A lot of twists and turns that I could not figure out the murderer until the very end when Kinsey figured it out. And of course, our poor Kinsey gets battered and bruised. Enjoyable.
Well, my wish to spend my day reading a book came true! My wish for a nap did not. It also turns out this was a re-read, because I recognized details from another plot line that goes throughout the series. Great way to spend my Sunday!
Anyone who knows me knows I‘ve had issues sleeping lately, and knows I love Sue Grafton. I can‘t remember if this is a first-time read or a re-read for me, but it‘s pictured with a pillow and afghan. Here‘s hoping I will either get a nap in, or else finish a book in one day. 😉
#Book1of2019 didn't disappoint! Kinsey is back after my disappointment with H. Investigating a civil case after an acquittal 6 years ago, Kinsey is picking up after another PI passed away working on a case but things aren't always as they appear, of course!

He wore jeans, muddy work boots, and a blue denim shirt with the sleeves rolled up. The hair on his forearms was dark and silky. He smelled of damp soil and metal. He looked like an actor who would star in some movie about a doomed love affair between an heiress and a park ranger. I thought it was probably inappropriate to fling myself against him and bury my nose in his chest.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 out of 5. Okay, not great. Mostly because there were a lot of minor characters that were hard to keep straight, as none of them were really fleshed out.
I heard an interview with Sue when she was promoting this book, and I was hooked. Kinsey was my introduction to sassy female investigators and “grown-up” mysteries. I‘ve since discovered many others, but Kinsey and Sue will always have a special place in my heart. RIP dear lady. #thealphabetendsaty
It was so great to jump back into this series as it has been too long since I read the previous book. This book was everything I love about this series and such a great read! I had a hard time putting it down and am ready to grab the next book really soon! I would highly recommend this series to mystery fans.
Friday night football and now Friday night reading...
A very suspenseful and intriguing read. Its full of unexpected twists and turns and a book I wasn't able to put down till I read the last word.
Sue Grafton is the best mystery author and I am glad we have 26 letters in the alphabet so I can read and rejoice in the mysteries she writes.
I did it. I need a nap but I'm still going, so onwards to J for #LitsyAtoZ. #24in48 is tough but with less than 16hrs to go, I think I might do this.
Literally just bought a new phone so I could keep going with #24in48 so yay. Onwards to Book I for #LitsyAtoZ
Well here I am and I am really loving this "series "? It's kind of a series but the stories are independent and the main character is there throughout they are all great. I have been loving this great lady Kinsey. You want some great reads this author doesn't disappoint.
Book 9 down. Maybe by the time I get through these books she will have written and published Y and Z.
