I saw this post on the Fable app today and thought it was interesting. I feel like I don‘t have a hard time DNF‘ng a book but I haven‘t had any experience DNF‘ng a book in a series.

I finished my first page of Netgalley ARCs on my tracker but I forgot to add these cute Litsy stickers on top of the books. I didn‘t finish a lot of these ARCs but I tried to read them.
Here‘s my progress on my Netgalley ARCs. I have 1 more ARC I want to read this month and then I‘ll read whatever I want.
I just saw this post from a guy I follow on Instagram. He‘s going on a book buying ban this year. It‘s a good idea. I tried going on a ban last year and I did fine for a while and then I started buying again.
I saw Netgalley post this on their Instagram and I wanted to share it here. This is something that I need to do but right now, I think it would be easier for me to get rid of the books I won‘t reread even if I liked them and I have a lot of those.
Here‘s my progress on my Netgalley ARCs I have to read. Next, I‘ll read the February ARCs so I don‘t have as many to read next month. I‘m interested to see if I will like the rest of these ARCs or if I‘ll DNF them.
I just saw this post on Threads and this was my response to it. If this is going to be the month where I don‘t finish any books then I might as well keep doing it and get it out of my system so I can have a great reading month next month. I really want to finish a book but it‘s not my fault that I haven‘t liked what I‘ve read.
I‘m sharing this section from Book Riot‘s new article titled “You Don‘t Need To Treat Reading Like Going To The Gym.” I just read it. It was really good but I liked this section of the article the best. This has given me a lot to think about.
I thought this was interesting and I wanted to share it on here. The first letter of my first name is K and BAM wants me to read 67 books. However, I set my reading goal to 1 book this year. If I read more than that, I can increase it but for now, I‘m just going to see how it goes this year.
Day 24 of the #wintergames Photo Challenge - Presents/Gift
Tonight is Christmas Eve but my family and I decided to wait until tomorrow morning to open presents but I noticed tonight on StoryGraph that there‘s now a barcode scanner which is a wonderful Christmas gift. I‘m looking forward to scanning my physical books into the app but I‘m going to do that next year.

I saw this post on Instagram from this person I follow where she was talking about why she stopped requesting ARCs. I‘ve been thinking about cutting back on requesting ARCs. I was doing fine for a while because I wasn‘t requesting anything but then I saw books I wanted to read and I started requesting again. I need to cut back on it and be more selective about what I request. I don‘t know if I‘ll be able to read them all on time.
I just saw this reel and caption on Instagram and wanted to share it here.
I saw this on Instagram and thought I would share it here.
I wanted to share this because I thought it was interesting and since I‘ve been approved for a lot of books on Netgalley, I want to make sure I read and review them on time. I usually review the books I‘m approved for early but it sounds like it doesn‘t matter when you review the books as long you review them close to the publication date.
These are the books I have to read for Netgalley that are coming out in January. Instead of starting off 2024 reading them all, I‘ll focus on reading them this month so I‘m not in a hurry in January to read them all because the release dates for all of them are close together. Will I be able to read them all this month? Probably not but I can read 2 of them and save the rest for January.
Release dates for the books are mentioned in the comments.
I just logged on to Netgalley and looked at my Feedback Ratio. I didn‘t use Netgalley for awhile and it was at 79% before which wasn‘t the recommended ratio Netgalley wants but it wasn‘t that bad. Since then, I‘ve been approved for a lot of books and my ratio percentage has gone down a lot but I need to bring my percentage back up.
I follow Thrift Books on Instagram and they posted this question. To answer this question, I put a new book on my TBR instead of reading it right away and then when I‘m ready to read it, I‘ll have it or if I see an unread book that I‘m no longer interested in reading then I can unhaul it. I recently unhauled a book I‘m not interested in reading.
I‘m so excited about the new readalongs feature on StoryGraph. I‘ll be joining StoryGraph in December for their first official readalong that they‘re hosting. It‘s going to be for the book The Night Circus. I‘ve never read it. I‘m looking forward to joining more readalongs on StoryGraph next year. I don‘t know if I want to start my own because I‘ve never tried doing my own readalong but I like the idea of hosting my own readalong.
I just found out that the National Book Awards were last night so I googled it and it says that it was on Facebook, YouTube or the National Book Foundation website. I was watching The Masked Singer last night so I didn‘t know about it but I can still watch it since it‘s on YouTube. I like watching award shows. I usually watch the music,TV and movie award shows every year on TV but I‘ve never watched one for books.
I saw this thread on the Threads app from The StoryGraph. To answer the question they asked in their thread, I don‘t know if I‘ll be running my own book club or readalong on The StoryGraph but if someone started their own club or readalong on The StoryGraph, I would probably join in.
I went on my Fable app today and the reading streak feature is now available for me. I‘m looking forward to trying it out.
I opened up my Scribd app and this is what I saw. Instead of Scribd, it‘s now called Everand so I went to their Help Center on their website to find out why they replaced the Scribd app and this is what they said. I‘m used to calling this Scribd though. The actual app Scribd will only have documents and Everand will have ebooks, audiobooks and magazines. Maybe they should make another app just for magazines while they‘re at it.
I got an email from Fable today mentioning these new features and they also mentioned the new feature called Reading Wrap. I‘m excited about these new features too. I went to the app to try out the reading streak feature and I didn‘t see an option to try it out. Well, it‘s a new feature and it‘s something that the app developers need to work on. It might not be available for me yet. I‘ll know I‘ll have it if I see it on my app.
I decided to try out the new reading wrap-up feature on Fable. I just figured out that I can add new books to the reading wrap-up but it‘s not going to have a cover for the book so what I did was add the books I read this month and the two books that aren‘t on Fable, I added the book covers on them in another app. I‘m so proud of myself for figuring this out. This is going to save me so much time every month because it usually takes all afternoon.
I got this email today saying that Fable has this new feature where you can make reading wrap ups. I was going to try it out this month. However, not all of the books I read this month are on Fable but this will be a fun feature to use in the months ahead and I think it will save me time too. It usually takes me all afternoon to work on my reading wrap-ups because I want them to look perfect.
I saw this graphic on Instagram and I wanted to share it here. This is me. I made a TBR for #scarathlon and read a few books from it. I had 3 books on it left to read and then I decided that I wanted to mood read so I did that. I don‘t feel like reading or watching anything else this month but I‘m enjoying doing the #spookycrafts, photo challenge and the games so I‘ll continue doing those until the end of the month.

A book account I follow posted this picture and it‘s actually a real website too. Maybe I should try it next time I finish reading a book. I might not want to read a book that is similar to a book I read before unless I‘m in a reading phase where I just want to read the same type of books for awhile.

I just saw this post on my Instagram feed from someone I follow. This makes me feel better about reading books that no one talks about. I keep telling myself that I‘ll read whatever I want and I‘ll read the more popular books later on but sometimes when I see a popular book being talked about, I‘ll read it sooner. Sometimes, the FOMO gets to me. I have FOMO which stands for Fear Of Missing Out.
I saw this post on Instagram from someone I follow.
I saw this tweet from John Green and thought it was interesting. It made me think about which one I am in this picture and I realized that I‘m a 1. I see pictures in my head when I‘m reading. I see the story the way the author imagined it. That‘s why I prefer reading over watching something. I still like watching movies and tv shows but it‘s not the same as seeing it in your head.
The StoryGraph just announced a new feature. It sounds like there will be an option to host buddy reads on the app. I‘m so excited about this. When the feature is launched, I want to try it out.
I just signed up for this new social network for readers called Storylace. I like it so far. I imported my StoryGraph data to it. I like that it has quests you can complete and you get crystals by reading different books. I‘ve already completed a lot of quests just with books I‘ve already read and I‘ve decided to join more quests. Having quests to work on instead of reading challenges makes reading books feel like a game and I like that.
I‘ve been enjoying doing these Instagram games where you add your own pictures and I found 2 more to do. I changed my Goodreads goal to 63 because I hit my goal of 59 books this year. Seeing my genres I‘ve read on StoryGraph for this year is interesting.
I saw this game on Instagram and I wanted to participate.
Photo 1 - My Audible app showing the audiobooks I lost access to
Photo 2 - I requested a book on Netgalley that I feel like I‘ll enjoy reading. My request is still pending.
Photo 3 - I started and finished this Werewolf ebook last night.
Photo 4 - I was having a hard time last night deciding whether to read this book or the Werewolf book but I decided to read the Werewolf book.
I saw this post on Instagram and I wanted to share it here.
Tip #1 - I use audiobooks to help me read my physical TBR and I think that‘s a really great idea.
Tip #2 - I‘ve never participated in a buddy read or hosted one.
Tip #3 - I‘ve never done thematic reading but dedicating an entire month to it could work out really well for me because I have a lot of unread books in specific genres. I just don‘t know what genre to start with first.
I was just on the Fable app and saw this post about bailing on books. My answer to this is: If I‘m reading a book, I DNF after reading 100 pages. If I‘m listening to a book, I DNF at 60%. Unfortunately, I‘m going through this with Lore right now but I‘m not far enough into this book to DNF yet. I really want to give Lore a fair chance.
I got these 2 messages on Goodreads from an author named Diana Corbitt. She asked me if I wanted to read her new book that‘s coming out in October. Her new book sounds interesting and I would probably like it but I don‘t have any interest in reading it right now. I‘ve reviewed books for authors before and it was a good experience but I didn‘t enjoy doing it. I would rather read books whenever I want to and not when I feel obligated to.

I was on Twitter and saw that Bookstr posted this article on their account. I just read this article and thought it was really interesting.
I just saw this reel on Instagram. I needed to hear this. I always save books to read during a certain season instead of just reading them right away.
I decided to start my own book club on the Fable app. This is my first time hosting one so I‘m nervous about it. This book club seems like it will work for me since I like to read different genres.
I‘m thinking about starting a book club on Fable. The only problem I‘m having is not knowing what genre to choose for it since I read a lot of genres. I‘ve never hosted anything so I‘m nervous about it. I used to be in a book club in real life but I got tired of reading the same genres every month so I quit going. When I looked at the genres to choose, I can choose up to 3 but I have no idea what to choose.
