⭐️⭐️⭐️💫I‘ve never read something that would qualify as a Christian romance before, and I went in to this expecting to roll my eyes a lot & not enjoy it. But I was pleasantly surprised! Was it the best historical fiction I‘ve read? No. But the story was interesting, the emotions were strong, and I was fully engaged - continually brought back to continue reading. For someone who would enjoy the “gentle reads” genre, this is one I would recommend.

I just ordered myself a new desk! And it was only 91 bucks! So thrilled it will really open up my room. Down the road I'm going to get a piece of real wood for the top too.

I am finishing up an online course on OCD and taking notes, but I got distracted and took a picture of my desk at home. My favorite part is one of my homemade birthday cards from a friend on my 30th in April. It says “May your 30s be like an infinite bookstore, endless magic!” Makes me happy 😊.

Eek I‘m the super and very proud owner of an oak writing desk!!! 😍 Can‘t wait to clean it up and start drafting those idyllic words!!!

Such a good book! 💕 When you pick up a Rachel Hauck book you can count on being wowed by the sentiments, romance, and genuinely honest character portrayals. The Writing Desk is no different. The characters are endearing and the storyline, told from several perspectives across the timespan of 100+ years, is easy to follow and fall into. I highly recommend this book, but then I was already a Hauck fan. All her books are a delight to read. 😊
