This was such a wild ride (as the authors books usually are). The evidence was pointed at so many people. So many twists and turns.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really like this series. This one was particularly gruesome, but the story was excellent.

I found this a bit more violent than the other Nesbøs I've read before. Reminded me a bit of Larsson's books. I learned a bit about avalanches from the story. This worked really well as an audio book. I did enjoy the story!

Finished this Harry Hole novel during an evening of quiet reading tonight. Definitely another gruesome novel, I‘ve heard the next in the series backs off on the gore, for which I will be thankful.

My reading companion has finally given Rick Riordan a chance, and discovered she loves the Percy Jackson books. She‘s read the first 3 just this week!

Fulfills the #pop19 prompt #setinScandinavia

Bookzombie Yay! I loved the Percy Jackson series. I keep meaning to go back to his other series. 6y
alisiakae @Bookzombie I‘ve actually never read them, but keep meaning to! I‘m going to try to read the first few soon. 6y

hilded I didn‘t recognize which Harry Hole book this was from the English title, it‘s quite different from the original one 😅 6y

BookNAround That cup!!! 6y
alisiakae @hilded Is the original title something different than an animal? 6y
hilded Yes, it‘s called ‘Panserhjerte‘, which would mean something in the line of ‘Armoured Heart‘ if I were to translate literally. 6y
hilded Btw, that cup is awesome 👍 6y
shelbyy That cup is hilarious! 😂 6y

i.z.booknook I need that cup 😂 6y
alisiakae @hilded It annoys me when publishers change a title for an American audience. A la HP and the Philospher‘s/Sorceror‘s Stone. 6y
hilded Agree, especially when they change a British title, that doesn‘t make sense since their both in English anyway. Like this one were they added on 1/2 a death, why - lol 😂😅 6y
hilded I mean, how can a person die 1/2 a time more? 😂😅 6y
alisiakae @hilded 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 6y
alisiakae @hilded I notice he used the phrase armored heart a few times in the book, including the last chapter! 6y
hilded Interesting! I must confess I don‘t remember that. I read the book a long time ago - and while I do enjoy this genre for what it is; a quick entertaining read, they rarely stick. 6y

“He wanted an armored heart.” Each book make me fall for Harry all over again. His humanism. His faults.

Lindy Sweet. Reminds me of when I was in Finland for a month and my friend sent me a letter addressed only with my name and “a Canadian living on a farm in northern Finland” and it reached me. I was shocked at the postal service excellence. 7y
LibrarianRyan @Lindy there was a news story a few months back where someone put a name and a map of where it should be delivered in Iceland. And it made it. 7y

Each book in this series just gets better and better. The complex case at hand in The Leopard, the crazy murder weapon, and intriguing characters made for a story of twists and turns. I was constantly guessing who the killer could have been. And every time, my assumption was wrong. Nesbø alludes to who the killer might be and then crushes your guess by making you think it‘s actually someone else. 5/5 stars for another amazing Jo Nesbø book ?

Wowwwwww... I wish I could post this entire 3-page scene - it's just perfect.
Dying father & prodigal son sit in the dark. Son has come to soften a blow, to share a failure, & can't even turn on the light to look his father in the eye.
Father won't waste time hearing it - he just wants to be sure his son knows he is loved.

I wish all of us this much love in our lives, and a moment so perfect in which to receive it.

Throwback to when I was reading and my son got aggravated I wasn't paying better attention to him. #cats go with books like peanut butter and jelly. But he's always jealous of my physical copies. E-reading makes for easier cuddling.

My first Nesbo to end my year with! I prefer reading series in order but will give an exception for this one

Martta Happened to me too with Jo Nesbo. I started with the Snowman. I just happened to cross paths with that one first. Did you like Stieg Larsson? 8y
izah.ahmad @Martta was reading it around 90+ pages till I realized my book was printed badly. Need to look for another copy I guess 😅 8y
Martta @izah.ahmad Ok, don't give up on it. It's good even though in my taste there are some parts I'm not so fond of. Like there is a lot of this company stuff and then in some parts it is so brutal that it is almost bad taste from the writer. But it is still worth reading. 8y
izah.ahmad @Martta am on page 100+ now, Nesbo is good ey 8y
