Okay. I loved this book. I loved it because the dialogue was raw and sounded exactly like some of the people I knew in high school. I loved it because I needed a mystery, and this delivered. The motivation behind figuring out the who-done-it is fairly weak (would have preferred more brother and sister camaraderie), but alas, not everything can be perfect. Heavy language. Felt right for the setting. Last #bookspinbingo for July! @TheAromaofBooks

Oh man. This book had potential, it did. But right from the jump it wants you to suspend your disbelief and go right along with all of these illogical decisions the characters make. Not just that, but some of the relationships and backstory is all just stuff that‘s kind of hard to believe. I really wanted to like this one but ugh. One of the worst I‘ve read in a while. 1/5 ⭐️

Roehrig has a talent for writing creepy situations and horrible people. The book also has a cool and creepy cover. #halfbloodbingo #bookbingo

I have to say this was an ultra successful library trip!

The writing was good, although the MC had an annoying habit of unnecessarily referring to people in relationship to himself. There was a wacked out mystery alongside some teenage relationship angst. Most of the characters were terrible, which made it a bit difficult to read.

And finally a YA mystery coming-of-age novel with a horror movie body count also ridiculously priced today!

Holy crap. I started this book this morning and finished it within the span of a few hours. The plot line never stopped being interesting, and the characters were unwaveringly human and multi-dimensional. This book touches on so many different topics, and if you‘re looking for something to keep you completely captivated, I can‘t recommend White Rabbit enough.

Everyone has raved. Everyone better not be lying 😂

I read White Rabbit and forgot to post my review. There are not enough #ownvoices m/m thrillers. You need to check it out--it's simultaneously hilarious and suspenseful. So I‘m enjoying this twisty mystery from unabashedly queer Caleb Roehrig. He has created a wonderful cast of characters including dear, gay Rufus, the main character, who‘s trying to prove his sister is innocent of murder, while struggling with his feelings for his ex-boyfriend who has shown up to help him solve the mystery. It‘s compulsive and v. clever writing!
PS. That‘s my white cat, not a white bunny.

I read an early copy of #whiterabbit by #calebroehrig and was blown away--a book so steeped in pop culture and wait was also so heartbreakingly real and honest. You all need to be aware of this book and pick it up when it comes out later this month. #youngadult #fivestar #lgbtq #ownvoices #contemporary

Just wrapped up a little mini #gayya binge this morning. I loved all three books, but WHITE RABBIT (out in April) was probably my favorite because it was a YA novel featuring a gay character where coming out or dealing with bullying wasn‘t the main focus. Solving the mystery was the focus. That was so refreshing. Roehring creates a real sense of danger for his characters as they try to piece together this well-plotted mystery.
