Current reads. ❤️📚
I really wanted to like this one because I enjoyed Jessica Strawser‘s first two novels, but this book really fell short for me. The very beginning was good and it had the potential to be a great domestic suspense/thriller but it fizzled out quickly and the plot was rather dull after the first couple chapters.
I‘m still very much looking forward to reading her new release though!
Bailed at 100 pages! I loved her debut so I was excited for this one. It just went on and on and on....where was the thrill in the thriller?!
Stuck in a Zoom deposition ALL DAY but my boss doesnt care if I read bc we are monitoring only. Win!
There was a lot going on in this book. The inciting incident occurs after we fumble our way through a catch up between two friends who have become disconnected, much like my interest as the novel progressed.
Through the story we navigate troubled relationships, medical woes, workplace issues, financial struggles and so many more I lost track. Or just didn‘t care about.
The beginning hooked me so hard but honestly then just teetered off.

Enjoy!
I really had rough time getting through this book because it was not what I expected. I was expecting a thriller and instead got a marital drama that was just bland. When the front of the book says you can‘t put it down I‘m hoping for a bit more excitement. You will not find that here...
I keep hoping to really enjoy something by this author because her books look so interesting, but this one just fell flat for me. Superficial people and storyline made for a bit of an annoying plot and I didn‘t care for the way it came together.
I love #playaway devices! They make for great listening during lunch time! And I‘ve really enjoyed both of Jessica Strawser‘s books, so should be a good listen!
Can I forget I read this book? I don't recommend this to anyone.
He wasn‘t having me reading this earlier 😂. Not a solid ‘thriller‘, and there‘s a lot happening with too much fluff. #catsoflitsy #KAL
Extra bar tending shifts around my full tome job is killing me 😵! I haven‘t been able to lay down a little bit and read, so I‘m finally doing it now!!
I started this one yesterday and I‘m not sure I‘m liking it.
"Here she & Max were again: when the meaning of friend was questioned or— more dauntingly—when the label as it pertained to them was up for discussion. Liza felt it,...she held her breath, hoping it would pass & then they‘d be in a moment in which they‘d be talking about something else & nothing would have changed....that would spare them from ... remembering the ques. that turned the invisible molecules around them into something with substance."
I'm afraid this was a huge miss for me. The book begins with an exciting event - while talking to her former best friend, Molly, on Skype, Liza sees an intruder in her friend's home. However, that's where the suspense ends. Because I thought this would be more of a thriller, I kept waiting for twists that just didn't come. If this book was trying to fall into more of the 'women's fiction' category, it also didn't seem to succeed. ⭐️⭐️ #netgalley
I just couldn‘t get into this one. My full review can be found here

Getting ready to not watch the Superbowl. #litsypartyofone but Go Pats anyway.
I didn‘t really enjoy this book very much. I don‘t mind reading books about unlikeable people but the story has to be good for me to get into it and this one wasn‘t. It was rather dull.
I was provided an advanced copy of this book by the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
My sisters took me to a cabin for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and it has been glorious!! I am wrapped in a cozy blanket, drinking hot chocolate and reading!
Starting out #24in48 with this beauty. Hope to finish this afternoon.
Walked in from work to find an #arc of #forgetyouknowme from @StMartinsPress! Perfect for a gray day with my gray reading buddy! #catsoflitsy
I‘m not overly sure what the title is on about (if you know, please feel free to tell me!), but I enjoyed the book anyway. There was a lot going on, what with masked intruders, fires, financial issues, medical issues, friendships, relationships - I‘m amazed that it was all squeezed in to the space of 336 pages! A decent book and a story well told. I enjoyed it!
“Forget You Know Me is that book you can‘t put down, and can‘t stop thinking about when you are finished.”
When a video call between friends captures a shocking incident no one was supposed to see, the secrets it exposes threaten to change their lives forever...
I enjoyed this book but didn‘t love it as much as her other novels. I think it is because I was expecting a thriller and so while waiting for twists that‘s didn‘t come, I was a bit let down. However, looking at the book as literary fiction about the relationships between husbands/wives and BFFs, I would give this book a solid 4 stars.
Can't believe how long it's been since I've been on litsy... a new job and life have been getting in the way but things are starting to settle down so....
Was able to enjoy a book with dinner since the hubby is traveling
