Vigilante justice books dont always work for me l, but when they do, like this one, it‘s such weird thoughts that go through my head. And then this ending, hey now, can‘t do that!

Audiobook of “The House on the Water,” also by Hunt, did not impress. (It‘s not in the database.) It‘s starts out interesting, and tension starts to build, but author tells more than she shows. Plot twists borrow from Agatha Christie. Narrator was good. #mystery #audiobook #murder #TeamSlaughter
This book had a solid premise, but fell a bit flat overall. The writing style felt unrefined, even for a quick thriller.
3.5⭐ Good concept. I personally could have done without the ending stopping at the final chapter and left out the epilogue.
*the very bad picture is one of 2 bears we saw in Gatlinburg TN while on a ghost tour.
142 pts for #TeamSlaughter through the last week of #Scarathon2020. I did not end strong but it is better than I thought it would be. Thank you so much for being our team leader @Clwojick this was so much fun.
569 pts for #TeamSlaughter #Scarathon2020. I was hoping for a little more reading time, but a trip to an orchard got in the way. Not complaing though, I have some delicious baked goods to enjoy. @Clwojick @CocoReads @TheSpineView
I finally finished a book in my normal amount of time! I was in such a slump!
I‘m not sure how I feel about this ending 🤔.. I think good! 😂 But this one kept me hooked the whole time so yay!
Oh wow, I‘m surprised I even finished this one. I would have bailed had I not been mildly curious about the ending. It did not live up to my expectations! Keep in mind, however, I am a detective who investigates sex crimes and crimes against children. So this was the opposite of escape and fun reading for me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Almost a year later, I finally got around to reading my November 2018 #BOTM pick. I was honestly surprised how quickly I got sucked into the story, which was a pleasant surprise because I didn‘t have high expectations for this book. Overall, I thought the plot and story was great, but I felt that the ending fell kind of flat and was a bit abrupt. In addition, the epilogue didn‘t satisfy me and could have had more to it.
A nicely paced story of a couple willing to do anything to protect their child from the evils of the world. The ending was a surprise - but in retrospect not that shocking. It made sense in terms of how the characters evolved. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
This book was alright. The suspense kept me reading, wondering if she will get caught or not. I really liked seeing both sides of the story from both points of view, that was really cool. Could have been a little more action, but over all I liked this book. 4/5 stars (:
My first by this author and won‘t be the last. Great story...and as a parent myself...I totally get it.
Just started this via audiobook. One of my favorite narrators. Off to a great start.

Great fast paced book! Without giving away too much- its about how much a mother and father are willing to do (or not do) when someone hurts their child. Didnt expect the ending and then the very ending- WHOA! Def. recommend.
Finally getting back to my #botmbacklog. I had set it down to finish my #netgalleybacklog. Now to get back to my #botm!!
Wow this one was so good!! I love Nat and her devious planning. She's one scary person to be deal with! This one kept me reading until the late hours. All I can say is, definitely pick this one up. (Nat should have gotten rid of Will though. You'll understand if you read/or will read it)
“Why was it that everyone‘s life looked easier from a distance?”
My next 16 reads!! Im getting caught up but to my detriment im still ordering 3 books per month 🙊 #botmbacklog
This sucked me in from the very beginning and kept me reading. That being said, the climax was a serious letdown and not entirely believable. Just ok for me!
On their first date, Nat and Will jokingly discuss how they would commit the perfect murder. That conversation ends up being put to the test when someone threatens their son. The thing is I never felt like there was a major climax in this book or a jaw dropping moment but it still held my attention-I was along for the ride. The pacing was well done and I was invested in the story. Thanks to #Netgalley for the ARC.
This was such a strong start and I was really hooked and then it got to the build up and fell flat. It was just okay for me. I really didn‘t love the ending and it was so disappointing because I was really looking forward to reading this one. It wasn‘t bad - a quick read, but not my favorite.
I‘ve seen mixed reviews about this one but I liked it! It held my attention and had good pacing and tension. And the ending...loved it! #llb19
This is my May #tbr, plus one more from my kindle if I can swing it! Most of these are for reading challenges!
I couldn't put this one down!
It took me about 2 weeks to read, because life with toddlers. But that's the fastest I've gotten through a book in quite a while which I'm very proud of.
Time to pass it along. If you'd like it comment below so we can touch base!
845am on a Friday morning and my kids are still asleep 🙌 so I'm taking advantage of a few minutes reading.
Also, chick nails make me happy 🐓😍
Have a blessed Friday y'all!
I'm home sick with a stomach bug today, but hoping to be able to finish reading this one.

I am literally screaming because I just realized I have the HARDCOVER COPY OF THIS EBOOK 😳😳 -welp, I have to re-read it now ☺😆
Why was it that everyone‘s life looked easier from a distance? 🥃💊💍
4.5 stars, some typos throughout the book but nonetheless, this kept my attention going!!! Funny thing is, I question, would I have done the same thing as Nat? If I was ever in her shoes of course 🤔😳
THIS BOOK HAS ME STRESSSSSEEEED. I can't put it down now. 😳
It‘s 28 degrees and rainy. Great Day for coffee and reading.
Another BOTM club selection that has been on my shelf for way too long
Not sure how I feel about this one. The story line had potential but the ending just didn‘t do it for me.
Trying to catch up on some book of the month books. So far, I‘m enjoying For Better and Worse by Margot Hunt.
Book of the Month books are up! Was hoping they would be this morning 😂 my picks are these two

#BOTM Finally had a minute to open my BOTM boxes and realized that I have not one but two copies of this book so figured I'd read it first.
I was interested enough to finish, but didn‘t really like any of the characters. They are supposed to be so smart and they are continually just so stupid! I wasn‘t a fan of the ending either.
This was a quick and relatively entertaining read (entertaining as in it kept my attention, but the subject matter is dark). But it was also predictable and quite cliche, and it all wrapped up a bit too neatly. I‘d recommend it as an easy page turner, but it won't leave a lasting impression.
Will and Nat met in college and get married and have one son Charlie. We find out he is molested by the principal of his school. Nat decides she will make sure no other children are hurt by this monster.
This was interesting but a hard subject to read about .
12.1.18 Wow! This book was great. At first I wasn‘t sure if I was going to be able to get into it, it seemed all too cliche. An unhappy marriage with an unexpected turn, but I loved it. I liked the multiple point of views and how even at the end when it felt like everything was settled, Margot Hunt threw another curveball at me. 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
