A beautifully illustrated book that sensitively looks at the themes of peace and social justice In a perfect world, this book would not exist. But we do not live in a perfect world. At any given moment of any given day, there are people dying from natural disasters over which we have no control. Beyond natural disasters we add disasters of our making, but even if we all learn to live in peace, there will still be millions of people who need help. The illustrators who have contributed to this startling book have all done so for free. All royalties earned will be donated to the Save the Children organisation in Australia. Illustrations by Colin Thompson, Tohby Riddle, Gaye Chapman, Richard Yot, Kim Gamble, Judy Horacek, Tom Byrne, Terry Denton, Emma Quay, Bruce Whatley, Dee Texidor, Anna Pignataro, David Legge and Chris Mould. This was a fine novel, but not at all what I was expecting, so it probably won't be memorable.

It was my #bookspin pick and my first #kidspickmybooks selection for January, so one more off the shelves!

I am obsessed with Douglas Adams‘ idea of a pen planet - where all unattended pens must vanish, so the blurb on this book caught my eye - review on litsy look OK so let‘s give it a go!

#AnglophileApril Day 21: The book that came to mind with #AnotherOneBitesTheDust. The images portray the trademark style of the artists and provide glimpses of unapologetic truths. Each line is illustrated by extremely talented artists who captured the spirit of what this book tries to do: raise consciousness and empower people to participate and take action. It reminds us to not shut our ears and simply move on. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-7Zw

"Everything in life has a place and when one thing moves, it must go somewhere else. Here is the place that all those things move to."

Oh! How I wish this place existed! You'll find this book incredibly enlightening and easy.

Some of my favorite authors from #Ireland and Northern Ireland. I've never visited either place, but I would love to someday. My father's ancestors came from Ireland so I've always been curious about it. #LiteraryLuck @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @vkois88

The protagonist's story ended but there are too many open questions in the end.

An interesting plot though predictable at some points yet overall unique. A light and easy read.

On an afternoon conference call when it turned but don't think I didn't celebrate w/ a quiet chair happy dance! Even though the numbers aren't why we're here, it's fun to see them because they represent each interaction & the fabulous people met in this special place! There truly is no place like Litsy! Mahalo to all of you for brightening my days, overloading my TBR stack & providing a safe & fun spot to geek out over books. You are the best! ❤️

Started reading my granddad's library book and couldn't put it down! I got up to chapter 35 and am on the lookout for it in local charity/thrift stores! 😄
