A solid Temperance Brennan book. As always, the audio narration was very well done. The story itself was a good one. All in all, a very enjoyable read / listen.
Book 1 finished for #20in4 (finished on Friday).

#OminousOctober #Day20 #Bones Had to be Reich‘s Temperance Brennan series for a Bones prompt! A forensic anthropologist, Tempe Brennan divides her time between Quebec & North Carolina, looking at the bones of the dead & figuring out how they died. #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter 6pts
I HATE this book! I tried for months to get through reading it, and I just could NOT pay attention. It put me in a reading slump, and because my silly brain can‘t leave a book unfinished, I bought the audiobook to try and get to the end. It was so bad. And to make it worse I‘ve paid for it twice. (Airport price too) ☠️
So after finishing 1 of my July reads, I read a few pages of the others, and decent way into “a conspiracy of bones” and I just hate it. So I moved onto my august pile, and thought I‘d go back to July when I was in a more desperate state.
I was excited to start the latest Tempe Brennan book! I love the writing of Kathy Reichs and was not disappointed in this one. The theme of what is real and what is not pervades this book, and after reading the author's note at the end I understand why. Definitely a pick!
This book didn‘t disappoint! Another great Temperance Brennan novel
Kathy Reichs is on my list of authors whose books I rush out to buy whenever they release a new book. I think this is her first Temperance Brennan in five years. I‘ve missed her! Started it a few days ago and I‘m loving it so far.
I hope there's more books coming for this series. One of my favorites.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was another outing for Dr Tempe Brennan, after her aneurysm & the death of her boss in SC, she‘s struggling with both work & home until a body turns up. Unidentifiable after being chewed by wild hogs, Tempe becomes obsessed with the case.
Got a bit of snow yesterday. It's already melting. So happy to be reading this.
Bk3 of my #MarchBookHaul & #BirthdayBookHaul is the latest in the Temperance Brennan series. Tempe is still recovering from surgery following her aneurysm & is battling nightmares, migraines & what she thought were hallucinations hen she receives texts with photos of a corpse missing its face and hands. Until a body turns up matching those pictures. With a new boss holding a grudge against her, she has to work outside the system to get answers.
So day 1 actually went better than I thought. Finished one book and about an hour from finishing another one. Not sure I'll get 24 but you never know. #24B4Monday @SumisBooks @andrew65 @jb72
I must admit I prefer others more but this was still a good read. The plot is slow and steady but builds to a dramatic and dark climax. I love the little moments between Ryan and Temperance too. I wanted more but this fits with the relationship they have always had and it works. These are always well written and so detailed. I always enjoy the descriptive details of how her mind works and the aneurysm was sensitively handled as well. #Netgalley 4*
This was just an ok read for me. Check out my review https://reecaspieces.com/2020/03/26/a-conspiracy-of-bones-by-kathy-reichs-review...
I am a fan of Kathy Reichs‘ books and this is a favourite. Tempe is a bit vulnerable, doubting herself and struggling to know what is real at times. But her determination and incredible knowledge it put to work to find the truth. She will not give in.
A masterpiece of plotting, the twists and revelations make this a must read thriller. I loved every dark minute.
He is literally laying on my kindle. I put it down for 1 minute to respond to a text message and this is what I get. 🤦♀️😸
Temperance Brennan novel, she is in Charlotte when she sees a guy outside watching her house. She then is sent the photos of a man that has been attacked by wild hogs in Cleveland County, NC. Is he connected to a case in the past of a young girl. She calls for assistance from Erskine "Skinny" Slidell. Together they try to find out who the guy killed was and his relationship to a podcaster Nick Body that has weird conspiracy theories on subjects.
It seems like forever since a new Temperance Brennan book has come out & with the librarys being closed I didn't think my hold would ever come in. Thankfully there is Axis 360 for all of my new release book needs while I am stuck at home.
Loved catching up with Tempe ❤️ as always she makes some bad decisions, but they get the bad guys.
#bookreport only read this 😁 and Daisy Jones ☹️ this week. I don‘t want to add a specific downer, but like for many of us, it‘s been a shite week.
Stay safe people ❤️
New book to read from an author I love plus under the dust jacket the book is decorated too. I love that in hard back books.
So happy there‘s a new Tempe book. Back with one of my fave series. Just starting.
Published today..big congrats to @KathyReichs for #AConspiracyofBones, a fabulous non-stop reading ride with #TemperanceBrennan #readitloveit #netgalley #scribner. https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/post/conspiracy-of-bones
Book 173 of 2019
This was my first Reich's book so I was not sure if I could read this stand alone and still understanding what was going on. It was perfect because I definitely did not feel like I was missing out on anything since I had not read any other of the “Temperance“ books. I loved the show “Bones“ so I knew I had to finally had to read one of her books.
