I feel cheated with this comic. I was actually enjoying it and the last chapter was so dark and crazy and then... it just ends. It‘s so abrupt that it annoys me, I have more questions then anything and they will never be answered.

Pretty dark and twisted. None of the characters are particularly likeable. Still, a compelling story and well drawn.

I enjoyed the art and the concept of this story. But the way it plays out left me feeling meh.

Omg I raced thru this volume only to find out it wasn‘t continued 😱😭 I seriously want to know what happens next. I would highly recommend reading this but know you will be left forever at a cliffhanger 😑

Eyelit I too was disappointed to learn there would be no conclusion 😩 6y

The art was pretty and I liked the idea of the characters, but I think this fell very short. Unsatisfactory ending, wish it were longer and explored these characters more.

1. Frankenstein, maybe. I'm not certain I'd call it a favorite, but it's really rather good (& due for a re-read).
2. Olive green.
3. Shit 😂
4. Chthulhu (or dragons).

I have mixed feelings on this one.
I enjoyed it: Lemire builds a world and fleshes out the characters well, giving them conflicts and challenges to work through.
And then it's just done - in shocking fashion.
I'm ok with the ending in and of itself.
And I'm ok with this not going on indefinitely.
But I'm left with many questions, and feeling like so much went into it that there should be at least an epilogue that tells us how they all turn out.

KCorter I agree completely. 7y

Errands with hubby including stopping for #freecomicbookday I picked up 2 graphic novels I've been wanting to read and a few freebies. I also got to meet Emi Lenox, co-author and artist of Plutona. I couldn't resist the cute little witch print either.

queerbookreader So jelly of snot girl 👀 none of my libraries have the series in yet 7y
AWahle @lemonlime799 I've heard good things so I'm looking forward to it. 7y

A #graphicnovel about a group of teen misfits who find the body of a superhero in the woods. Really well done, and did some things I did not expect.

And... I'm finished! January #24in48 done and done! 😃 my final stack comprised of 13 books (15 if the micropress chapbooks count) and I was able to read two books for #readharder and one for #litsyatoz as well as knock out quite a few for #mounttbr - so I'm quite pleased. Looking forward to doing this again July!

Less than 7 hours to go for #24in48 - I've basically disregarded my proposed stack, but that's fine. 😄 Plutona is an engaging graphic novel and I'm very much looking forward to volume 2!

Caped crusaders are only the backdrop to this dark coming-of-age story that I'd recommend to fans of Paper Girls or Stranger Things.

Melancholic, or in other words, classic Jeff Lemire comics. Great character development + superheroes who are more human than not + teenage angst. I'm looking forward to the next volume in this series.

Enjoying my Saturday with this coming of age comic. Five kids find a dead superhero in the woods... After the grisly discovery, they embark on an adventure that will test their friendships and tear their group apart. Sounds like "stand by me." My cat Slick is enjoying it with me.

GuiltyFeat Haven't connected with Jeff Lemire before now. This seems like a great premise for a story. 8y
