Book 84/100 of the year.
A delightful YA romance. Becca has sworn off dating and love since her parents‘ divorce. Brett is avoiding the distraction of dating and romance so he can focus on football and win a scholarship to get out of their small town. They decide to have a fake relationship to get everyone off their backs.
Such a cute YA fake dating book! I loved both MCs, Becca and Brett, who both agree (for different reasons) to fake a relationship. But soon enough, lines start to blur, and you can guess the rest!

This book pisses me off cause it's so good! 😭 I'm so jealous of the romance 🥹
💛 I remember reading this on Wattpad and it was just as fun! They‘re super cute and it was a short, sweet story. Went from 0-100 on the implied spice, which was random and oddly timed. I imagined the parents literally there, watching them go upstairs and on the couch like 👁️ 👄 👁️

Such a cute YA read! Honestly, if I was still a teenager this book would‘ve been amazing for me with divorced parents.

On the spur of the moment, Brett Wells the popular football player pretends to be Becca's boyfriend. It works out well for both of them- Brett's dad will stop pestering him about how he should have a girlfriend in addition to playing football, and Becca will stop getting teased about not having a boyfriend. Will they really be able to fool everyone?

Yes, there's coffee in the mug, apparently just not enough, lol!
And I tried these flavors with today's #coffeeandabook ☕️📚
Short, cute, clean YA romance.
I read this book in like 3 hours so when I say short I mean SHORT. It was a typical YA fake dating. It was cute at some parts and cringy at others. The characters did grow throughout the book though

This was so super cute. It‘s a YA romance about a fake relationship. Pretty much like every other book with that premise, but it was sweet and fun and I got lost in it for a day. I loved the way the author writes about reading and I thought this was really fun and entertaining!
It was so good and it made me sob but it also gave me butterflies and it had a lot of funny parts but I hated when Brett broke up with Becca because two were a power couple even when they were faking it.
In contemporary books I look for two things:
— cute romantic moments
— hilarious A++++ witty banter
& I feel like this book made a very underwhelming attempt at only one of those things 🤷🏽♀️. ★★☆☆☆.
A ya that was apparently first written on wattpad? Cute. Fake boyfriend trope.
I accidentally clicked this book when I went to click a different audiobook, but honestly, it was the best accident this week. It‘s such a cute story! It‘s one of those fake dating stories and I‘m a sucker for those!
My only complaint isn‘t even really a complaint with the book. Sometimes, I didn‘t realize that Becca was speaking to the other characters, I just thought it was her inner monologue.

Just finished this contemporary YA. I needed something light and easy to read and this was perfect.

This was a really cute and fast read.
Becca and Brett are both dealing with realizing their parents aren‘t who they thought they were. I really like dithering relationship and friendship. They were just so cute.
I had been looking for a light YA contemporary and this did the job for me 😃.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This scene between Brett and Becca is just the cutest. 😍

Plus side of mandatory teleworking is better breakfast where I don‘t have to rush and no one interrupting me on break/lunch while I‘m reading!!

Found a quiet (and shaded spot) for a little fresh air & a light read.

Mandatory telework started this week at my work.
I left this message on my white board at my desk. 😝

This was such a cute book! Becca and Brett are in high school. When they both keep getting asked if they are in a relationship they decide to fake date. The more they hang out together the more they realize they don‘t want it to be fake. But when an event happens and their feeling are called into question. One of them doesn‘t know what they want anymore. I loved watching this relationship evolve. #24b4monday. Didn‘t get much reading done yesterday
this cover and those in this style is very reminiscent of fun romance covers in the early 2000's but i love that the style if being resurrected for YA audiences. I bet this is a fun love story.
