Hey everyone I lent my sister a book and then she went dog sitting and I just need someone to join me in a moment of silence thanks
“Most of all,” she told him, “I am going to be the queen.”

I wasn‘t expecting to like a sequel as much as the original, but I really enjoyed this book! It narrates the beginning of Beatrice‘s rule as Queen, and tells the story through the same four different points of view from the first novel. The one thing I love best about this book is the character development in ALL of the women. I can‘t wait to read the third one!
Beatrice had never heard the palace so silent.

38mile #audiobookbike ride and I finished my work in progress during it. Second in a duology or series, Majesty was just as dramatic as the first title but all the characters swapped love interests and than still decided women should rule alone (totally agree!) and all dumped their men, postponed their plans etc. Gratifying but could have saved themselves a lot of heartache by getting to that stage much sooner. 🤷
This is a cute sequel, so if you enjoyed American Royals you're bound to like this too. I had personally hoped for different story arcs for some of the couples I was shipping, but the ending implies there will be another book in the series so there's still time 🤞🏽👑
56 of 2021. Day 1 and book 1 for #awesomeapril
I am really enjoying this series. The ending was left unfinished so I am assuming there will be another book. Fun read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

YES! This was just as satisfying as Book One: American Royals! I felt like it was also more complex and seemed to have more of a message, which was cool. Katharine McGee has become a total author crush for me.
This one was just as much fun as the prequel, but I kind of got whiplash from how quickly each main character, who was madly in love with some guy in the first book, got over him and moved onto another guy in just a few months. Like... what? 🤨
I didn‘t like this one as much as the first one, but still enjoyed it. Wonder if there will be a third? #WinterGames2020 #ReadNoseReindeer #CrushTheRush #ReadYourWay #LittensListen
Second in the series. I am very invested in these fake Royals and their love lives.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was not a huge fan of American Royals, but as I listened to Majesty, I found myself enjoying it. The character development was great and I loved who ended up with who. I wish there was more to some of the character endings though.

Sadly after months of waiting for the sequel, this one fell short for me in so many ways. Still okay but not on par with American Royals.
The reviews on Goodreads were not enthusiastic about the second book in the American Royals series. Personally, I enjoyed it. I love not so happily ever afters. I will agree that some things seemed to be pulled from the Netflix series The Crown but it was an easy read and I would recommend it.
4⭐️
America has her first Queen and not everyone is pleased about it. Beatrice is forced to figure out exactly how to rule a nation while mourning her father and dealing with her arranged marriage. On top of this, there is drama all throughout the palace as the twin prince and princess deal with relationship issues that keep grabbing the attention of the media and not in the best way possible.

Time to get myself to sit down and read. I‘ve been struggling a bit with reading something physically for a while now because the business I live above plays loud music every day. They opened up a few months ago so it‘s not something I knew about moving in. I‘ve been sticking with audiobooks and following along physically to drown out the noise. Hopefully I can get through this without resorting to the audiobook 🤷♀️
I loved this continuation of an excellent story. I love all of the characters so much. Majesty develops the characters more.
I won‘t give anything away, but I was very happy with the outcome of this book.
I highly recommend the American Royals series to any fans of YA, princesses, and cute romances.

I‘m loving this alternate reality of America. How different our lives would be with a monarchy. I love how strong and independent Queen Beatrice becomes throughout the story. The author did an amazing job of showing how a woman can stand on her own with or without a man at her side. Sept 11/20 #bookspinbingo #SuperSeptember
Sorry Litsy, I‘ve really abandoned you.
We adopted our oldest daughter in January of 2020 and are expected our second amy day now. Pandemic+newborn+pregnancy have not left me with the time or mental energy to read much. But I‘m trying! Soon I‘ll be back to a life of sleepless nights and long hours glued to the rocking chair. I‘m working on my TBR now, and Majesty is my current read.
This alternate reality of what America would be like if George Washington became king is fascinating. How a royal family would look in today's world. Queen Beatrice is such a bada** who finally found her royal voice. Their family dynamic is so complex and tumultuous. I have am really enjoying this series.
