I‘m finally finishing Fourth Wing graphic audio. I did listen to the first half last year and then dropped in along with my reading habits. But these ‘theater of the mind‘ audiobooks are the best.

I have read several books that were better the second time around… fourth wing, iron flame, the Harry potter books…

Im pretty proud that I finished 3 books last month! Considering I felt like I didn‘t have time to read, this felt reasonable 📚 my goal for February is to try to read the same amount or more!

This was a reread for me. I bumped my rating up to a 3 star cause I enjoyed reading this book more than the first time. I think I was in a bad frame of my mind when I started this book before. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Here‘s my hot take of 2025: this was … okay.

Two major complaints:

1) I figured out every little surprise, including the last. The foreshadowing was almost too obvious. And when you know what‘s going to happen for 400 pages… it tends to drag.

2) Yarros has a habit of doing cliffhanger chapter endings and then treating them as cut scenes never dealt with. Annoying.

The dragons kept me going. Andarna was Toothless level adorable.

Finally getting on this bandwagon

I held out as long as I could…..but, so far so good

I didn't get to read my #BookSpin - James. But, I did reread my #DoubleBookSpin and I got one bingo. #BingoBookSpin @TheAromaofBooks

I didn‘t think I could love this book anymore than I already did but I fell in love with it even more during this reread!!! It still made me laugh and cry which is a powerful thing when you know they are coming!!

First book done in the new year .. yes I jumped into this popular book .. and it does not disappoint .. it‘s out of my personal reading preference. Fantasy fiction. With an ending that makes you crave Book ✌ðŸ�¼ .. Good thing I have it ready to go! â­�ï¸�â­�ï¸�â­�ï¸�â­�ï¸�â­�ï¸�

There are parts of this book that I was enamored with. A school for dragon riders? Awesome. Learning how to channel their powers? Badass. All of the politics and insider information had me hooked even if I did skip over some of the more smutty parts. Looking forward to Iron Flame next!

Decided on a quick re-listen before the third instalment. Yes it is probably trashy dragon porn, but I am sucked in. Funny, I can‘t deal with ACOTAR or many of the other romantasy series, but I do like this one.

Decided a reread was in order before I dive into onyx storm!!

My reading plans backfired when the audiobook of Wicked Beauty wasn‘t jiving with me. So I‘m switching to starting Fourth Wing on Spotify… and continuing Wicked Beauty and The Quiet Tenant in tangible form.

I thought this book had a really great storyline! Can‘t wait to delve into Iron Flame!

Not my thing and I wouldn't have read it but I got called in for the midnight release party at the bookshop and didn't want to be out of the loop. Listened to the audio on 2.5x speed.

I'm here for Andarna though.

It simply doesn't get better than this.

I had several glowing recommendations from people who I generally have the same taste in - I thought it was good not great. I found Violet whiny and annoying but reminded myself she‘s young. I just got the second in the series and am hoping I‘ll enjoy it more!

Good morning! I am beginning the Fourth Wing series today. It has been quite some time since I delved into a book series, and I am genuinely enthusiastic about it!

Wow! Just finished this and desperate to start the next!
Definite Hunger games/game of thrones vibes with a sprinkling of Harry Potter, the whole riders school and Rebels children being forced to become riders � . Loved the dragon bonding, riders personal sigil& challenges.
Call me vanilla but wasn‘t keen on the detailed sex,personally was the only let down,a bit of passion fine but TMI at times 😅

Because of the hype, I probs wouldn‘t have read this if not for the #ALSpine list from @Lin3han but I am SO GLAD I did! I mean, the component parts aren‘t necessarily original but they are combined so well. I love Violet. And the invisible disability rep was *so* relatable (being annoyed with an uncooperative body, dealing with others‘ ableism and your own internalized ableism, being able to do what other do but with adaptations,etc.). Audio is 💯

I think this was the right book for the right time. A fast romp of a read that I had put off due to all the hype. Next up Rock Paper Scissors which will likely be my last of this list and the final prompt for 52 Bookclub.

The first half of this book was soo slow. The second half had me hooked though!

December goals… would love to finish these off to start the new year fresh. And although im on holidays starting today, I‘m extremely doubtful

I wasn‘t sure if this would hold up for a 3rd read, but it really did. Very fun, spicy, and fast, it‘s a great time.
Rebecca Soler is a very enthusiastic audiobook reader which sometimes really adds to the story and sometimes it‘s a bit too much.
I‘m excited to be back in the world & will anxiously await book 3 coming out in a couple months.
