This is a story of a group of people exploring planets for resources. Instead of dying you get reprinted. Apparently the printer in space can make misprints of people! Weird!

I put a number of stalled-out books on my #bookspin list for February - let's see where the luck takes me!
I very much enjoyed the system last month, @TheAromaofBooks you're right! Somehow the dual list with lots of category entries on the bingo board was very freeing.
Oh dear. I‘ve been listening to this sci fi space opera/romance while falling asleep for a couple months (maybe since it was voted in for #litsyscifibookclub?) and now I‘m very wide awake after the creepy-fungal-misprints-in-the-trees interlude 😳🥶 🙉 I‘m just picturing a bunch of Last of Us monsters, anyone else from #lsfbc find this more of a heart-pounder than they thought?
Welp time to finish it in daylight and find a new bedtime story!
My favorite book for August was the start of yet another trilogy. I know a lot of people were turned off by the romantic elements of this book, and I admit it was eye rollingly heavy at times, but I enjoyed the characters, the world building and the interesting villain.

1. Tagged. The second book of the trilogy is also very good.
2. Paper. I prefer the feel of a book in my hands, but this year I've done more audiobooks.
3. Science-fiction

1) ✅
2) I love paper books, but I read more ebooks and audiobooks
3) probably romance, I "snack" a lot of romance books, they're fast reads
Here are a few questions to start our open discussion of August's #LitsySciFiBookClub selection, The Blighted Stars. Feel free to discuss anything. If you want to be added or removed from the tag list, please let me know.
When I read the synopsis, I wasn't sure I would like this. I was happily surprised. Great plot and characters. The tension was great. I want to read the next book now.

Today I am somewhere outside our solar system, perhaps, on a dying planet called Sixth Cradle.
Anyone reading this, consider yourself tagged and let us know where your book is taking you this Monday!

I wasn't really looking forward to reading this book. I didn't like Velocity Weapon by O'Keefe. But I got the audiobook and couldn't put it down. I'm probably finishing today.

Some truly amazing ideas in this book, (one, 'printing your consciousness into a new body when needed' ) with a great plot and complex characters who you aren't sure are the good guys or the bad guys. Turns out, maybe they aren't who they think they are, or at least their minds might not be their own.

I didn't care all that much for the romantic elements of the story but I really liked the sci-fi ideas and the twisty plot, and I'm always drawn to a good survival story.

86/150 Lord knows, I don't need to start another series, but this book is so damn good, I can't resist seeing when it goes. The plot is too intricate and twisting to encapsulate it in a few short sentences, but if you enjoyed Ann Leckie's Imperial Radche series, you'll love this too. Amazing world building, well developed characters you come to love and hate in equal measure. I eagerly await the next volume. 5 🌟 #LitsySciFiBookClub
The votes have been counted and the August selection for the #LSFBC #LitsySciFiBookClub is The Blighted Stars by Megan O'Keefe. I was able to find a copy at my library. They had both the physical and ebook available. Hope you enjoy!
