pickA soft pick for a cute Halloween story & quick read yesterday for #Scarathlon2022 Although I have not read the preceding books about the terrible Herdmans, tge local family of delinquents & their mischief, it was easy to follow & made me laugh a couple of times. There were also 69 words from #ScarathlonWordSearch for an extra 690 points (to the 26 already) for #TeamMonsterMash 👻🎃🧟🧟♀️🧙🏻♀️

pickThis was another fun and cute tale by Robinson. However, it pales quite a bit in comparison to the Best Christmas Pageant Ever. My complaint? It started slowly and there wasn‘t enough time with those wild Herdman children! Similar to Halloween Ends needing more Michael Myers, this needed more Herdman hi-jinx. The ending was fun and made up for it though! 3.5/5

pickThe Best Christmas Pageant Ever is one of my favorite childhood books. For some reason, I don‘t think I ever read the other 2 Herdman books. In this one, the mayor cancels Halloween because of the Herdmans, so the school hosts Halloween. There‘s a lot of anxiety from the kids about whether the Herdmans will attend. I don‘t think this one has enough Herdmans in it, which means it has less humor & heart. #scarathlon #teamslaughter @Clwojick 26 pts
pickCan you really call it a holiday without the Herdmans? 😀 I love these books and I love the rambunctious family of kids at the center of them. As always people don't realize that there's more to the Herdman's than just causing trouble and with Halloween cancelled, everyone's in for a big surprise from this family of trouble makers.

Although not as great as The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, this entry in the misadventures of the Herdmans is still a lot of fun. Like any good Halloween book, it‘s full of tricks and candy-galore!
pickThis sweet #Halloween novel was a cute read. All the kids are disappointed when Halloween trick-or-treating is cancelled to stop the Herdmans from causing havoc. Will Halloween go without incident this year? Or will the Herdmans still find a way to create chaos? While it's not as amazing as The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, it was still a fun book with a sweet ending. It's a nice non-scary Halloween novel for younger readers.
