#Millie eats dinner early because she likes to go to bed at six (I know!) She‘s been staring at us since 3. I think it‘s payback for taking her to the vet this afternoon 🐶

#Millie has been inspecting my work as I straighten up my #TBRcart & gather all of my #jb mail due for responses. She is not impressed with me.
She is also sad to see the end of #whodunitbymail, and I‘m sure it means extra belly rubs as repentance.

This is #Millie, who we adopted in November of 2013 after she was rescued from a shelter in Virginia. My mother is her favorite human. She enjoys belly rubs, her Jolly Pets bones (the only toys to withstand her chewing), and eating, even with stomach issues. She does not enjoy rain, loud noises, car rides, or fetch.
One of the women I have truly looked up to. Not because of politics, but because she cared and she walked that empathy and love every day of her life. My in-laws bought me this for Christmas at the Bush Presidential Library and I can truly say it‘s one of the most precious things I have ever been given.
Busy season at work is officially in session and I am once again behind on my #jb mail AND my reading! As an apology, here is a photo of #Millie cutely sleeping. Pay no attention to the ruined couch cushion that she has scratched to hell after years of “making her bed.” 😬#dogsoflitsy
