And since it‘s the actual Austen text with zombie stuff inserted in, you don‘t have to pay too close attention if you‘ve already read P&P, which I‘m pretty sure you have 😂 I find my mind coasting along with the familiar prose and then a zombie bit jumps out at me. It‘s quite jarring and funny! 4y

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: A Novel | Taylor Jenkins Reid

It‘s a pea-souper tonight (also known as summer in San Francisco) - nice and atmospheric for an #audiodogwalk with #LordByron and Evelyn Hugo though I didn‘t get far enough to meet the eponymous character yet. Really like it so far - Hollywood glamour and a sense of intrigue. Feels similar in style to Daisy Jones & the Six which I liked.

Beautiful, moving, profound. Roser and Victor are flung together in order to flee Spain‘s Franco only to end up living under Chile‘s Pinochet. They survive and often thrive by forging human connections helping others and by appreciating life‘s gifts: food, music, art, poetry, nature, pets, family, and most of all love. 5⭐️ writing, characters - only wish it had been longer and she hadn‘t galloped ahead through certain periods. I wanted more!😊

New #audiobook for my #audiodogwalk to Kite Hill with goofy goober #LordByron.

This one‘s excellent so far and much about the Spanish Civil War and its fall out (divided nation, refugees, migration) feels very relevant.
