I actually got up to Dartmoor a few weeks back - the most walking I‘ve done in (roughly) forever. It was gorgeous. There were views, there were ponies, there were standing stones. And there was graffiti on the gate - if you can‘t read it, it says ‘We love your cows. They are cute x‘ #LitsySummerCamp

LiterRohde @gradcat She is from quite long ago. But she had a long career. From what I can see, it started in the 50‘s. I‘m pretty sure I‘m remembering her from the 80‘s and 90‘s in stuff like The Muppets, The Gong Show, and her stand-up. I‘m not really quite sure where I‘ve seen her, but I have. And she didn‘t die until 2012. Anyway, my comment about 42 being old was was tongue-in-cheek. I love seeing how my students think it‘s “so” old. So don‘t feel bad. 6y

gradcat Oh, no, I didn‘t take any offense...I knew exactly what you meant. I taught high school, so I know where you‘re coming from. And you know what? I didn‘t even know she was in The Muppets or The Ging Show, because I rarely ever watched those shows. No, I remember her from (and this is going to let you know how old I am) Hollywood Squares & Laugh In + her appearances on the Johnny Carson show. 😂🤣😂 6y

LiterRohde Yes! Hollywood Squares! That was a funny game show. I watch Carson in reruns, but I wasn‘t really watching The Tonight show until Leno. And I do watch Laugh-In reruns too, so I‘ve probably seen her there too. So, if not old, maybe an old soul? ‘Black and white movie‘ is not a dirty or unfamiliar phrase to me. Love Jimmy Stewart, Hitchcock, Twilight Zone, Perry Mason....😬 6y

TheAromaofBooks I am also weird about potentially falling down stairs. Sometimes I just miss a stair for no real reason?? Maybe it's because I live in a one-story house, so I'm out of practice haha 6y

So...I'm sitting in the hospital waiting room and I finish my book so I decide to take a peek through the magazine's they always have laying around. I found gold!!! Holy crap this brings me back. Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BarbaraTheBibliophage The first 2 or 3 are really YA, but the story gets older and more complex as they age through the school years. That in itself is so rare to see in writing. Characters who literally grow through the series, and their comprehension of the story going around them deepens as the grow up. 7y

merelybookish Fun to see what you was on your mind in 2004. I feel my TBR shifts. I just lose interest in reading some books/genres. Nevertheless, the TBR continues to grow. 🤷 7y
