This was fine, entertaining at times but it was too long; felt dated & campy. The writing was a little off color, probably acceptable for the early 80‘s but I don‘t think it would get published today without some editing & polishing. A light pick. 🎉In non book news my niece qualified today and will skate at tomorrow‘s pairs long program. She has no chance to medal but her personal goal was to skate clean & advance and that‘s just what she did💕

Cinfhen Awwww, thanks @LauraBeth her partner needed shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff at the beginning of last year and then my niece tore her ACL and was out until September. So this is their first major competition in 9 months! It‘s a crazy life but she LOVES IT!!!! 6y

While live streaming my niece's skating tournament, I read about 150 pages of this wonderful debut. Although the storyline is heavy, the writing is light and beautiful making this an easy and pleasurable read.
