I think whether you are new to activism and organizing or are returning after a break, there is a lot of useful practical information here. It‘s not a “how-to,” exactly, but the authors share lessons that show how organizing works in the day-to-day, showing you how it‘s not about heroism but rather that it‘s an action anyone can do when we prioritize interdependence and connection.
One of the most meaningful, empowering, and visionary books I‘ve read in some time. It was in part a call to action re: 2016, so it‘s….super relevant. Valarie Kaur is an important voice for right now, and always. Looking forward to reading her recently published book soon (tagged in comment ⬇️).
This book was an assignment in my Master‘s program, and I‘m grateful for it. May everyone who reads it have the opportunity to discuss and mull it over with trusted peers. This book has been in my heart and brain, now is the time to heal.
