Time Enough for Love | Robert A. Heinlein

Where to even begin with this book? It has so much going on and so many characters. I really enjoyed the themes in the book, how love and family can transform you, but it‘s definitely not my fsvourite Heinlein.

This was really dark for a cozy mystery.
I still really enjoyed it and found that the murderer wasn‘t super obvious.
Skye is a great main character and I can‘t wait to see what she gets up to in the next book.

I read his because I love mumpet treasure island. Very very similar. Muppets made a good translation.
A very readable book with lots of swashbuckling fun. Wish that it had spent more time on the boat though.

This wasn't as good as I was hoping. There was a lot of traveling around and not a lot of action for the majority of the novel. It was definitely setting up something bigger so I'll have to read he next one soon.

I still have some mixed feelings about this book. It felt a bit slow to start but I really love Lirael and she was one of the main players so I enjoyed that I lot. This book was a lot more political than the other two which didn't interest me as much. Overall a good read but wasn't so fond of the ending.

I did really enjoy this book. I thought it was a lot of fun and the ending was great. It was a really interesting retelling of Cinderella. That being said I think that Cassandra has a lot of room to grow as a writer, which is excellent, but stylistically the book fell a little flat. I'm excited to see what she writes next.

I just finished this book and it's definitely one of my favourites so far in the Discworld series. To be fair, the DEATH subseries is one of my favourites so it was kinda expected.
This book covered the hard topics of life and death with grace and humour. I enjoyed every single page!
It also follows two story lines which is fun!

This has probably been one of my favourite graphic novels that I've read so far. I didn't really know anything about Audubon before reading this book and he's definitely a figure I'd like to read more about. For those who don't know, he was an ornithologist so there's lots of pretty birds in the book!
He also met Darwin (see above)! I looove Darwin. This book really makes me want to see a graphic novel version of the voyage of the Beagle 🤤

WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO READ THIS?!?
Mostly because I'm boring it from my father and he only gave it to me recently.

The ending was also great!
I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Hild: A Novel | Nicola Griffith
Mehso-so

I enjoyed reading Hild. I didn't know much about her going in, but I don't really feel like I know that much more about her now. There is suppose to be a sequel to this book but so far on Goodreads it doesn't have a title or a tentative date for publication.
I found that the narration of the book made it really easy to forget that Hild was a child through most of it and that was the books biggest shortfall.

Just finished this book as part of my #24hourreadathon
Didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. I knew it was going to be weird but I liked some parts of its weirdness more than others. It also kinda brushes by some big topics like rape and suicide very unexpectedly.
I didn't like the ending. I think it would have been felt more like a conclusion if it ended 100 pages earlier.

I had the same issues with this book as I did with Memoirs of a Geisha, only this one was waaay worse. I always find it a bit sketchy when men write about how it feels to be pregnant, especially in teens. Although this was a cool concept, I didn't really enjoy the book. The ending is also set up for a sequel. #endoftheworldbookclub #books #pass

Finished this book yesterday on the plane home! Everything you would expect from Pratchett. I really enjoyed the talking dogs. I found that this book was a little slow in the middle and just felt busy. It was almost following too many characters. It is the start of a new subseries though, so I suspect it had a lot of legwork to do.
I enjoyed how some old favourite reappeared in the novel though!

Our leading rebel for some time was Tilly... Oh, you must have seen Tilly Foresham - jodhpurs, roll-neck, hacking jacket, dragged hither and thither by the whim of fate in the form of three golden retrievers... She protested indignantly for some time that she would not mind much if she happened to like babies; but as she much preferred puppies, the whole thing was particularly hard on her.
