This started like a typical thriller, but it just got more messed up as I kept reading! I had two theories and one of them was right, I mean maybe it was obvious to everyone else too. It‘s just so good! I need to read her other books!

#BOTM picks! I skipped January so was worried I wouldn‘t be able to get my free finalist book, but I was still able to get it!
🌟
No words can describe how much I hated this book and I won‘t even try. I‘ll just say I gave it one star, my only one star of the year.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I honestly loved this! The character development was great and there was great pacing! I don‘t think it was too short, I liked the length and think if it had been longer it would have dragged out too much.
Not what I was expecting at all. It was too slow and boring, there was also a lot of repetition. I don‘t think I‘ll be coming back to this one. #botm
Botm picks are up! I chose Nothing to See Here, it sounds like so much fun! And Imaginary Friend because I‘m always looking for a good spooky book! #botm
🌟2.5/5
Mostly disappointed in this book. I‘d expected it to be creepy and all I got was a very descriptive day to day account of Rowan‘s life as a nanny. #botm
So I went with only one pick this month. Sounds really intriguing. #botm
2.5
I had high hopes for this. The plot has potential but it fell flat. I felt indifferent to the characters, no matter how much I tried, couldn‘t like any of them. Lila felt like the typical badass girl that has become popular in fantasy. Kell was boring. Every other character was one-dimensional. As much as this book talks about the four Londons there‘s really no other explanation to them or differences aside from how magic is used in each.
Just a little over 200 pages in and feeling “meh” about it. Does it get any better?

As I‘ve come to expect from this author, Lock Every Door was gripping and fast paced. It hooked me from the first chapter and the suspense kept building up until the very end. This had more of a gothic feel with the descriptions of the building and with everything going on inside of it.There was a plot twist that I really loved. I hope the author keeps writing in this style because this is definitely my favorite of his books. #botm
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Futuristic Disneyland, what else could I want? Definitely recommend it!
🌟🌟🌟🌟
I didn‘t think I‘d like this since I hated Illuminae, but I wanted to give this a chance and I ended up LOVING it!
Aurora was a bit bland and somewhat of a Mary Sue, but I liked the other characters. I don‘t understand how the authors managed to fit a “mating” bond in the story and I didn‘t think the POVs were distinct enough from each other, but these were the only issues I had with it.
Update: just called and got it fixed.
Does anyone know what I can do? I already emailed book of the month but haven‘t received a reply. I checked out and got Recursion and The Silent Patient and checked that it came out to 9.99. But once I clicked confirm my receipt said 29.99. It turns out they added the pocket tote and charged me 20, but I never added it. #botm

I wasn‘t expecting to like this as much. I did have a few issues with it but nothing to lower my rating. I‘ve never read a courtroom drama, if that‘s what this is, but it was done really well. I liked all the characters, and couldn‘t believe that any of them could have done it. I was actually shocked to learn what had actually happened. This is definitely something I‘d like to read again. #botm
This new #botm BFF thing is actually pretty cool!
To all of you who have read this: should I keep going? I am struggling so much to get through this, I‘m about halfway through but I‘m not motivated to continue.
Decide to pick just one book this month. Though some of the add-ons were tempting. I‘m really excited about this book though! #botm
4.5/5
I loved this book! As with The Cruel Prince I found the first half a little slow, but the other half made up for it, and that ending 😭 In The Cruel Prince I didn‘t care for Taryn, but I really hate her now.

I was hesitant to read this. I‘ve heard so many great things but it‘s not what I‘m usually interested in. While I had some issues with it, and I felt it dragged a bit, I ended up actually liking it. #botm

I‘m sad to be DNF‘ing this book because it has such an interesting premise, but this is my second time attempting to read this book and I‘m just not enjoying it. I‘m trying to be better about DNF‘ing books and I think it‘s time to finally give up. #dnf
Any nonfiction is hard to rate so I will not be rating this. I didn‘t necessarily like it, but I don‘t thing I‘m really the audience for this. However, I still think it‘s worth a read.
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Not at all what I was expecting! I wasn‘t anticipating what happened towards the end. Great start to the year! #botm

I wasn‘t expecting this book to be so creepy. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
4🌟
Definitely not my favorite Agatha Christie book. It was slow at first and I wasn‘t interested in the characters, but the more I read the more I liked it!
4🌟
So maybe I should have read The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe first, but I still really liked this one a lot!
4🌟
Liked this so much better than I thought I would. Holly is a very unlikeable, yet hilarious, character, and that‘s one of the things I enjoyed most about the book. We do get to see her grow a lot throughout the book. There were a few moments when I teared up, I definitely wasn‘t expecting that. If you want a cute Christmas Carol retelling, please pick this up!
My #botm selection! I read The Wife Between Us earlier this year and really enjoyed it so I‘m looking forward to reading this one!
🌟3.5
Loved the plot, hated the characters. Except Jem, he‘s a sweetheart.
🌟3.5
The Valiant started off really slow. I was bored in the beginning and it took me about 200 pages to really get into it. I didn‘t stop reading it because I was actually very interested in the plot and the characters, I just wish we would have gotten to the action faster. I became very invested towards the end and am really looking forward to continuing the series.
I‘m so sad I had to DNF this! I understand why some people would love this but I just didn‘t think it was my type of book, which sucks because I LOVE fantasy!

Favorite book in the series so far. It was fast paced and action packed from the beginning. I really liked the characters, except that whole Clary/Jace/Sebastian thing was still really weird. I do wish we had seen more of Alec and Magnus together though!
3.5🌟
It was good overall but I feel like nothing happened until the end. The thing with Jace and Clary was weird and gross, I know that they aren‘t siblings but they don‘t know that! I‘m continuing the series because I want to get to The Dark Artifices!
5🌟
I loved this book! I thought there were some pacing inconsistencies and she used “he/she/they could have sworn” way too many times throughout the book. These things didn‘t lessen my enjoyment of the book, it‘s just things I noticed. I loved the character development that some of them went through and think it was a good conclusion to the series. Chaol is still my favorite.
3🌟
I love Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and The Office, so I had to pick it up. I read this as an audiobook and she reads it herself, which I think really brings out her humor and personality. While I found some parts really funny, there was nothing too interesting or fascinating as I have found in other memoirs.
I somehow managed to read 13 books in October! My favorite was Hallowe‘en Party! (not all of them included in collage)
•City of Ghosts-4🌟

•Hallowe‘en Party-5🌟
•It-4🌟

•Coraline-5🌟
•Chilling Adventures of Sabrina-4🌟
•The Falconer-3🌟
•Neverworld Wake-4🌟
•The Cruel Prince-4.5🌟
•Evidence of the Affair-5🌟

My November #botm picks! Nine Perfect Strangers sounds so good!
I recently read Final Girls and thoroughly enjoyed, so I wanted to pick his other book up!
I also wanted Boyne‘s new book, but I‘m trying to limit myself to two picks a month, so it‘ll have to wait!
What did you choose?

4.5🌟
I absolutely loved this book! I felt detached from the main character in the beginning, thus the 4.5, but the more I read the more I grew to like her. I loved every character, even the one everyone seems to hate (I won‘t say who because I don‘t want to spoil anything). I loved the plot and the setting and I‘m so glad I read this. Now to wait for The Wicked King!
Is it bad that I rejoined Audible just for their Halloween sale? On the plus side they gave me a 30-day free trial for coming back! #audible #audiobooks

Such a fascinating story. I went into it blind and would highly recommend you do the same. I will say though that it is part sci-fi and part murder mystery which I have really been enjoying. The one thing I did not like about this book was that it‘s characters were really one-dimensional, each of the 5 (or 6 if you count Jim) has their defining characteristic and not much else to offer. #audiobook

Not as scary as I expected. Still a good story.
