My new bookish tattoo… I love it but she is a bit sore right now.
3.6⭐️ Well that was an abrupt ending. I guess that mean I‘m in another series now. I will say this, I enjoyed the movie a little more than the book. I know, weird, but I got a bit confused with all the extra characters. And the ending seemed so rushed and incomplete. I liked it, I was just expecting more. #FableBookClub #TheWyvernScrolls
4.6⭐️ let me start by saying that this was my #ReadBannedBooks for July, and it was better than I thought it was going to be. I wish it would‘ve read this one so much sooner, especially since apparently there‘s four books of the series. I mean, I‘m glad there‘s more because that ending was not enough, but dang. Also, really scary similarities to what‘s going on right now. I will be continuing this one next month.
4⭐️ this is the second book in the Persons Non Grata series. Seeing that it was written in 2017, I don‘t see another one coming. As I said in my previous review for book one, this is Lovecraftian horror. And while I enjoyed book one a smidge more, book 2 is still really good. We still followed Pearson in a way, but the other characters took center stage. It‘s a quick short read, and what I will consider reading again in the future.
4.5⭐️ I won‘t lie, I have a bit of an obsession with the Hades and persephone story. So of course, I am in the middle of Lore of Olympus, but when I saw that there was another graphic novel about their story, I could not help but to pick it up. And I‘m so glad I did. I loved how this came together, and the only thing I‘m truly sad about is the fact that book 2 doesn‘t come out until September. 10 out of 10 recommend.
5⭐️ i‘ve been sitting here for the last 30 minutes, trying to figure out how to write this, still crying because this book literally crushed my soul. I almost didn‘t read it because I thought it might be a “why choose”, which I‘m not into. It‘s not, which is good for me, but holy crap does my heart hurt. It tackles mental health, connection and learning to love yourself. Lots of spice, but it‘s dark so check your trigger warnings. 10/10 recommend.
3.2⭐️ to be honest, I struggled with this one. Several times I really considered DNF, but I‘ve heard how good it was. And I‘ll admit, closer to the end it was much more enjoyable. But I seriously started this book on June 10 and just finished today. Almost a month for a book that‘s a little over 200 pages. I truly think I kept it up just because it was June‘s fable pic. Oh well, better books ahead.
4.8⭐️ I loved this! I honestly don‘t know what‘s wrong with me, but multiple times throughout the story, all I could think was “ OMG, how cute!” Only thing I would have changed was with the plot twist at the end of the book. Didn‘t mind the twist, but I did mine that we just breezed by it after the fact. Could‘ve used a little more closure on that, but besides that, freaking amazing! 10/10 recommend, but please read your trigger warnings.
4.7⭐️ I had to slow start with this book, which is the only reason I got 4.7 and not 5 stars. Otherwise, the story was an amazing and super quick read. Once it had me, I could not put it down. If you‘re looking for a great Halloween read, this is one for you. And to follow it up, there‘s also a movie based off this book, which I will be watching this weekend. 10 out of 10 recommend. This was also my #DoubleBookSpin for June‘s #BookSpinBingo.
And with my worst books of 2025 so far, I also give you my last post for the night. Here‘s to a booked year and to happier books ahead.
Hear my top read so far for 2025. Am I being a little biased with Lights Out? Yes, yes I am. And I‘m OK with this. That book had me rolling I was laughing so hard. Sometimes that‘s what you really need.

Here is my #BookSpinBingo for July 2025. My goal, if anything, is to read the post title as it has been on my TBR for over a year, and pretty much on every bingo cards since January.
I tried with these two. It‘s not that they were bad , they just were not what I wanted to read. Who knows, maybe I will wanna read them later on, but trying to force myself to finish them preventing me from reading anything else for the rest of the month. So they‘re being DNF so I can get to something better for me.
4.2⭐️ it‘s listed as horror, but it doesn‘t feel like horror. Let me rephrase that, it feels more like lovecraftian horror. I also feel like the plot needs to be tightened up a little bit on this one, but I really enjoy the writing style in general, despite it being occasionally jumbled. Based on the characters in this book, the jumbled writing actually connected well though. I liked it a lot… Enough to immediately go buy a book 2.
5⭐️ & 5😭 four minute I was like, yes!, Because I really thought I got out of that unscathed. Yeah I was wrong. This is booked three of the Before The Coffee Gets Cold series, and I can honestly say that I have not had a dry eye in the three that I‘ve read so far. It‘s touching, heartfelt and just emotionally damaging, but in a best way. I absolutely love the series and I will continue to read them as long as the author continues to release them.
4.8⭐️ I expected darker, but it was still amazing. And it was what I needed when I was kind of in a dark spot myself. I could not stop laughing, the chemistry between the characters was phenomenal. I was expecting more after she left her uncle‘s house, despite the epilogue, so that was kind of disappointing. Otherwise, I highly recommend, this was a fun ride. #BookSpin for Aprils #BookSpinBingo
3.3⭐️ This book left me so confused, that I reached out to @Roary47 and asked her to pick it up and read it with me, which she absolutely did cause she‘s the best. In the end, it wasn‘t as bad as I thought it might be, but I think it could‘ve been better if it wasn‘t condensed into such a small book. The purpose behind it makes it worth a read, which is further explained in the afterword. This is my #BookSpin for #BookSpinBingo for June.
I seriously needed this today. My day has been shit, my emotions have been shit… it is just one of those days. So I took a pause from real life and threw on my 🎧 on, and now I have been sitting at my desk hoping people do not hear me laughing. I can‘t believe it‘s takin me so long to read this.
4⭐️ there‘s a lot I wanna say with a little space to say it. 1st, I read about 75% of the book before I took the dust jacket off and figured out the book was gorgeous. This book was super good, and it would‘ve been five stars, except there was always so much going on. I like a twist and turns in my stories, but this may have been a little overkill. And the ending left me wanting, so I‘m hoping a book 2 is coming. #DoubleSpin 4 April BookSpinBingo
5⭐️ this is not your typical Neil Gaiman and read. But that doesn‘t take away from this at all. This is super short, and the thought put behind writing this poem is just as beautiful as the poem was itself. If you have five minutes, pick up this book. I checked it out for free on hoopla.
And here I thought I posted this like a week ago, but apparently I did not. Here is my read list for #BookSpinBingo for June.
4.2⭐️ I love the story. It was a beautiful story of redemption and forgiveness incorporating Polish folklore. I am new to most of these legends, but I have heard of Baba Yaga, who was a prominent part of the story. This was the May Fable fantasy read, and I do plan to read book 2.
Happy June 1st. This month in our Fable fantasy book club we are reading a book about two time traveling agents who are on opposite sides of basically a never-ending war. If you are interested in joining us, please follow the link. We would love to have you! https://fable.co/club/the-wyvern-scrolls-with-littlewolf-178259080199
4⭐️ please don‘t misunderstand me, because I really like this book. It was inspiring and eye-opening. But I have been emotional lately and I don‘t think I was in the right headspace to connect the way I could‘ve. I feel like I should‘ve hit pause and gone back to finish the read another time. So that‘s what I plan to do, despite the fact that I have finished it, I‘m gonna pick it up again later this year and reread it. #ReadBannedBooks for May.
4.3⭐️ I went into this years #Roll100 with the idea that most of these books were going to suck, which would give me the opportunity to delete them from my Kindle and clean up the mess created during the #StuffYourKindle events. However, this book was actually pretty great and now I want to continue the series. This is my first MC dark romance but it will definitely not be my last.
I‘m not a big fan of dystopian, but in the great and powerful wheel of genres chooses dystopian, we go to dystopia. This is our #HometownBookClub read for June, and I have high hopes for it as this is written by the same woman who wrote The Handmaids Tale.
Here is the #ReadBannedBooks and the #FriendsPick reads for the month of June. I have not yet read anything by Octavia Butler, but I‘m really looking forward to this read.
4⭐️ well, this was actually better than I expected it to be. I always consider myself an ally, but having a new perspective allows me to provide support in new ways. When the principal came to her and told her “my door is always open”, it made my heart smile. Beautifully written, and easy to understand. This was my #ReadBannedBook read for April. I‘m late, but I‘m glad I still got it read.
4.3⭐️ I love this… I thought it was super cute and fun and definitely had the cozy fantasy feel. This was our May book choice, along with two graphic novels, for my #HometownBookClub. I will say I got a little bit more spicier than I expected, but I read a lot spicier so it didn‘t bother me. However, we usually try to stay away from spice in our Book Club picks as not everybody enjoys them, so that was offputting. Otherwise, 100% recommend.
4.2⭐️ this was so much cuter than I expected it to be. I may actually be continuing this graphic novel series.
And with this, I give you my last post of the night. I can‘t give this book a rating outright because each story was very different. Hence, the rating next to each story within the book. It‘s super short, and for someone that does not like sci-fi, these are pretty great.
1.6⭐️ not the same book, but it‘s part of the same collection. It‘s getting a 1.6 stars because I did not DNF it. I did not DNF it only because I was driving to work and couldn‘t change the book, and it was so short it was done by the time I got to work. It sucked. I did not like it. It makes me question if a woman actually wrote this because there‘s a difference between smut and what this was. And that was in 30 minutes of a book.
3.2⭐️ small town Book Club read for our cozy fantasy month. It was definitely cozy and fantastical, it was just a little bit too young for me. Super cute and would recommend it to a younger audience for sure.
3.8⭐️ look, this book is only getting less then 4 stars because it showed me that, I myself, do have hard limits. This book introduced me to a hard limit which literally made me gag. Other than that, I freaking love this book. This is dark, so please check your trigger warnings.
2.8⭐️ it was cute I guess, but it wasn‘t something I would ever read again… Or a series I would continue. That being said this was one of my #Roll100 for April.
4.2⭐️ this was a #FriendsPicForMe read. It is a memoir that really shows how easy it is to get sucked up into somebody else‘s plot. I‘m so happy that she was able to find herself make a life for her and her daughter away from all that control and manipulation.
4.6⭐️ I‘m so late posting things, that this is gonna be rapid fire posting here in a second to catch up. Thankfully, I‘ve been in a reading slump so there‘s not a lot to post. What I mean is I could be more. But I love the story. I don‘t feel like it was a typical vampire romance that we normally get, and Holly Black writing is just poetic.
Hey y‘all, last month I didn‘t get a chance to read much because I had a lot going on. Work was crazy, I was dealing with the loss and I was planning my trip to Puerto Rico. Just got back last Tuesday and I have to say I cannot wait to go again. It was beautiful and everybody there was so amazing. I did take a book to read, but the weather was against me and I lost it to the rain gods. However, here‘s a few pics of the trip I wanted to share.
Happy April everyone. Here is my #Roll100 for April. To be completely transparent, originally I had a different book for number 16, called First Bite. As all my role 100 this year, it was from the stuff your Kindle event. I didn‘t realize until i was adding it to my all my trackers that it was nine full books in one. Knowing that I would not get that done this month, possibly this year, I let Siri choose a new book for me.
