Hosted a Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the library last night! Kids dropped off their stuffed animals earlier this week, then came to a special storytime to pick them up and hear all about the escapades they got up to while the library was closed. In other words, I got to spend an hour this morning posing stuffed animals around the library doing all the fun things the kids do when they visit. Here we‘re having storytime with Elephant & Piggie!

Reggie Aww I love this. Years ago on This American Life I actually heard about a site where you can send stuffed animals to people in Japan and France and they will go to all the sights to see and send you pics back with your animal. One elephant was at the top of the Eiffel Tower! The one that got me was the lady whose son died young due to cancer so she sent his favorite stuffed animal on a trip around the world. Nice job!! 6y

Librarybelle When I did children‘s programming, stuffed animal sleepovers were my favorite programs! So much hard work, but to see the kids excited in the morning was totally worth everything. I‘m still trying to figure out how to do this for adults without it looking odd... 6y
