Can you be a librarian without glasses, a bun, and a cardigan? Maybe. But I‘m too close to graduation to risk anything.

1. Librarian at a regional college.

2. Burger King, age 15

3. Ad agency, first full time job out of college. Cool perks but the stakes, egos and emotions were too much.

4. Getting a paycheck for just being me? 😂 Good thing I love my job.

#HelloThursday @wanderinglynn

bullbunny I also worked at the bk lounge as my first job!! 6y
wanderinglynn Thanks for playing! 😀 6y

Ranchan All of them apply to my current job of teaching English 😂 The only thing I'd like to change is the method of teaching/curriculum goals, as we're superfocused on language acquisition and skip over all the good stuff of literature and culture. 6y

I know there are many here so show yourselves 🙋🏽 I'm currently an academic librarian at a regional branch campus. I started in public libraries as a paraprofessional and also worked at a small independent bookstore and Borders. #librariansoflitsy #bookworkersrollcall #librarianintraining #bookishwork #bookstorejob

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage My first job out of college was Barnes N Noble ❤️📚 7y
littlelibrarian I worked in public libraries for five years. I did everything from circulation, technical services, storytime, management. While in library school, I was a graduate assistant in special collections and worked with a rare book cataloger. I started a job as a high school Library Media Specialist in August. I want to do a little bit of everything! 7y
pocketmermaid My bookish career started with Waldenbooks, then I went to Barnes & Noble, then over to Borders! Then I got into library work, both academic and public. I‘m currently a Young Adult Librarian at a public library. 😃 7y

I spent the evening making table decorations for trivia. St. Louis style trivia is a beast unto itself and as a non-native I love it and am baffled by it. Tomorrow my librarian team (The Dewey Decimals) is competing at the juvenile detention center. I really want to win the prize for best table decorations cause the teens will probably beat us at the actual trivia.

This adorable princess is Daliyah Arana , a four-year old from Gainesville, Georgia who has already read 1,000 books! She read her first book at age 2 1/2 and is on fire for reading. Daliyah is shown here during her recent stint as Librarian for a Day at the Library of Congress. Her story was featured tonight on national news and my heart just melted ❤️️❤️️ I love seeing stories about kids who enjoy reading! 📚 📖 ❤️️

Suzze So wonderful! 8y
