A New York Times Bestseller Brace yourself for GEMINA the highly anticipated sequel to the book critics called out-of-this-world awesome, featuring journal illustrations by bestselling author Marie Lu! Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed. The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault. Hanna is the station captain s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy's most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion. When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station's wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia and possibly the known universe is in their hands. But relax. They've totally got this. They hope. Once again told through a compelling dossier of emails, IMs, classified files, transcripts, and schematics, Gemina raises the stakes of the Illuminae Files, hurling readers into an enthralling new story that will leave them breathless. Praise for Illuminae: A New York Times Bestseller A PW Bestseller Out-of-this-world awesome. Kirkus Reviews, Starred Stylistically mesmerizing. This was my #BookSpin for this month, and I finished it with mere days to spare. With over 600 pages, I'm a little surprised at how quickly I flew through this book, but then again, it was awesome and didn't feel like 600+ pages. I need to get the final book, Obsidio NOW #SciFiSummer

I'm excited about this month's #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin! The tagged book will take me longer to get through, but The Day of the Troll is a fairly short audiobook that I'll probably finish within a week. I'll be reading both as part of #SciFiSummer.

As this is the second book in the series you would think it was not as good as the first… wrong it was just as good and as entertaining, sad, and complex as the first book. Loved it … the cover damage was because my hubby dropped it 😫

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Holy crap this book is good. It‘s been several years since I read the first, but a few pages into this one it all came flooding back—and I‘d like to read the third book right now, please.

AmandaBlaze The feels are strong with this series. I've reread it every couple of years, and it doesn't get old to me. 2y

I have been in a huge book slump, but finally pulled myself out. 🎉

Gemina is the 2nd book in this trilogy. I enjoyed the new characters & it was just as action packed as the first. I like the visuals they add in to emphasize different parts.

I think my favorite detail was the computer virus in form of the pop song Lollipop playing and popping up all the time. 🎵

On to the finale!

Following suit from Illuminae, I LOVED this book! The new set of characters on the Heimdal are great and I loved the appearance of Kady and AIDEN. Again, a physical + audio book tandem read is highly recommended! There is a "song" in this one and it is hysterical to hear!

Book 2 of the Illuminae Files, it takes place 5minutes after Illuminae ends. Same format, same great action and dialogue. There's a new couple to cheer for as well in Hanna, the pampered Captain's daughter, and Nik, understudy in a crime family with an almost heart of gold.

Wow... This book was amazing! Look at it! Even the cover and pages are pretty! This book was filled with visuals that were very nice and they also helped keep me engaged, seeing that it‘s quite a long book. Totally recommend to anyone especially people who like to read science-fiction. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mehso-so

This book was a nice book but it sadly not my taste, and I thought that I won‘t continue the series because it wasn‘t my type and why read a book not my type. I personally say it‘s not such a good book but I have a friend that really liked it so it isn‘t a bad book. I will go with a so-so but I really can be ‘pick‘ if you like science fiction and books that are set in space.

❐ Overall Rating 5 | Narration 5+
This book was not quite as good as the first book...but it was still excellent, the parallel universe element lost me a bit...but with my re-listen, I definitely got a better handle on what transpired. I‘ve now read this book once and listened to the audio twice.

Finished the first book yesterday, so moved straight onto book 2 of this trilogy during my commute today. #24B4Monday

JanuarieTimewalker13 I couldn‘t get through Illuminae....loved the format, but if I heard about Katy‘s hazmat suit one more time, I would scream. I bailed very far into the book, but I was also very sick with babesiosis, but didn‘t know it. 4y

Blew me out of the water! Just like the first book, #Gemina was hard to put down. The ending definitely pushes you to buy the 3rd book, so I guess I‘m seeing Obsidio in my doorstep sometime soon. The only issue I ever had is the inapposite sense of humor (just like the first book). Lots of joking in the middle of a crisis. This seems to be true for the first book as well, so maybe it‘s just something I need to get used to. Nevertheless 10/10!

I love this series! Admittedly, I like the plot if the first one better because it's so damn creepy...but I love Nik and Hanna (and not just because she spells her name thr correct way/does martial arts). Aiden is...in a strange twist...BAE.

MsMelissa This trilogy is fantastic! The first book ended up my favourite, but all three are good. AIDEN is my favourite 😊 4y
