Mr Book Hippie is a Lions fan....I would root for a lot of teams however neither of these appealed to me. So I had no opinion other than I hoped Brady wouldn't win, I'm not all that nice of a person! BAHAHAHAHA. OY. 3y

TheBookHippie @GingerAntics I can watch it in person in Chicago and love it. But I think that has to do with where I am and who I'm with and the food BAHAHAHA. Over the years it has become something I don't recognize from the 1980s fun in person we had. 3y

marleed I do love the excitement and camaraderie a winning sports team brings to a city. And for local shop owners and artisans, the merchandise is so good for business. Even a local milk bottling company here has sell-out red velvet milk with game themed bottles. It‘s pretty cool. That‘s a good reason for every team to be champs from time to time. 3y

TheBookHippie @marleed I am a die hard CUBS fan and I saw them WIN IT ALL. So I get that. Fun to see all the small shops get wonderful business. We purposely bought all the local mom and pop stores things. It was fantastic. It was fun to see the Eagles win it a few years back and all the Philly small shops get tons of revenue. And all the Rocky things. Good times. I have no ill will towards the team just not a Brady fan. 3y

marleed @TheBookHippie My sister and BIL are die-hard Cubs fans and have lived in my hometown of Butte, MT their whole lives. As a kid, my BIL‘s neighborhood assigned each boy a baseball team and he was responsible for those stats until he was midway through HS and past the responsibility down to another young boy. So John has maintained Cubs stats for some 60 years now! They‘ve been in the Wrigley Field one time for a game - memories for them!! 3y

TheBookHippie @marleed I love Wrigley I miss it so this past year. We jumped the train to go see them win it all! The after parties back in the city was fierce! We had so much fun. Sooooo many people !! I slept for a week after those 3 days or was it 5 BAHAHAHA. I still can't believe I was alive to see them win. 3y

My husband and I aren‘t football people. In fact the only day we watch it is Super Bowl Sunday and only because our good friends throw a party for it every year. We come because it great times, with great people and good food. 😊

I'm not much of a sports fan (as I can tell many of you aren't by the posts), but, living in Philly, if I didn't watch the game, I would probably get beat up tomorrow. That said, pretty great game played by both teams. Hopefully Philly won't live up to their reputation and burn down the city... Also, kids apparently have an excused absence from school for the next two days!!!!! (according to a friend)

ThatBookishGal See....I was born on Super Bowl Sunday (they actually brought the tv into the delivery room so they can watch the game. Doctors orders), so the Super Bowl holds a special place in my heart, and I married into a Minnesota Vikings family...but don't be surprised at some point if pull out a book at some point. I'm used to reading with background noise 😜 7y

merelybookish @ThatBookishGal we were living in Pittsburgh one year the Steelers were in the Superbowl. My due date was close. Everyone kept asking me what I would do if I went into labor on Superbowl Sunday?! 😃 I was that concerned but did figure the doctors and nurses would be distracted. 7y
