pickContinuing on with the series, this volume is about Kamala making tough decisions with the world about to end. She finally meets Captain Marvel and the bad guy is starting to attack her family. Lots and lots of stuff happening but it's not overwhelming. As usual, illustrations are great as well as the story line. The additional story is from Amazing Spiderman team up with Ms. Marvel. I loved this because it showed the introduction of Silk!
pickSpoilers ahead! I wasn't planning on reading the entire volume last night, but it was just so good!! I really loved the parts where both Captain Marvel and Kamala's mother tell her they're proud of her, I teared up a bit. The part that really got me with Captain Marvel was when she was like "I see why everyone thinks you're so special and I wish I had more time to spend with you". I can't wait to see what's next for Ms. Marvel! #msmarvel
pickThis is where I remember that under that hero costume is a teenage girl struggling like any other teenage girl...Wilson has had me hooked since issue 1, page 1 and this still is true on this issue.
I can't wait to see where this goes and what happens. Will have to go back to the library for more!

pickHands down some of my favorite writing & illustrating in comics today. Kamala Khan is an engaging character—Wilson does a great job not only developing Kamala as a hero, with all that goes along with learning about & using her powers, but also exploring what it means to be a teenager experiencing all this. The best is when Kamala has these “I‘m a freaking superhero” moments—when her sheer excitement momentarily overwhelms her. Highly recommended.
A day off and finally getting to read for fun for first time in months. Of course, my cat is in on the fun and keeps sitting on me or wanting hugs #bestrescuecatever

pickI‘m kind of annoyed about getting absolutely no real information about the end of the world scenario presented in this volume BUT I love Kamala and I love Captain Marvel‘s guest starring role and I love the family relationship stuff Kamala dealt with here so, still good.
Finished reading Ms. Marvel, Vol. 3: Crushed & 💛💛💛! I connect sooo well w/ Kamala. Love her personality, her story, & everything she represents. Feels like a book bestie...even though she's much younger than me. (Wish this series was around when I was younger. But so happy for the girls that get to read it now.)
Anyway...I'm continuing the series with Vol. 4: Last Days for #24in48. Concerned about this cover though. Looks pretty devastating.😕

More great life lessons, boiled down into a superhero story. You can‘t be responsible for everything and everyone, just your choices. The Spider-Man crossover in this same volume has a similar message for Spidey too.
pickStill a pick but the first volume I didn't all out love. Wilson had to fit all of the larger Marvel stuff from Secret Wars into her book and it just didn't work for me. I loved Kamala talking to Captain Marvel but all the end of the world business made this volume weaker than previous arcs.
What is this book slump you speak of? I‘d think when I heard the term. Now I know. And I‘m fighting it with Kamala 💪🏼😁

pickI‘ve had a hard time reading in the last week or so - part of it is the business of the holidays and part of it is mental. We had our annual Christmas gathering on Friday for the first time without my best friend, who died unexpectedly in June. It was as hard as I thought it would be. All I‘ve been able to manage is comics, so thank goodness for this wonderful series (vol. 3, 4 and 5, though I only tagged 4 here).

pickThe world is ending. Kamala teams up with Captain Marvel and figures out that people she loves are the most important. I enjoyed the little silly details hidden in the art - lots of pigs in the city and tiny yellow people in the high school gym... I am a bit miffed that I still have no clue about why the world is ending, but solid nonetheless. ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

While I have always enjoyed super hero comic characters on shows and movies actually reading super hero comics has never interested me. I started reading Ms. Marvel vol. 1 two days ago and I have just now finished Vol. 4. They are so so good. Consistently good. Kamala is fantastically written. I definitely recommend. Now on to Vol. 5😃😃

pickWow. Alphona's art and Herring's color make such a dreamy combination 😍 Big Marvel cameos in this volume. When was the last time I read Spiderman?! Consequently this felt a little off by the end, but the early bits with Kamala's family were especially great 👍
