I'm reading two novels right now (the tagged and NOS4A2), and both feature Triumph motorcycles. I love reading coincidences!

Another detective Kim Stone book. Not sure yet about these series but I will try another one.
A lot is happening around a former orphanage, lots of dead bodies, old and new. I liked the plot, I think Kim and her team have to grow a bit more on me. So far they seem a bit too cliché. A light pick.
Someone‘s knocked out after her traumatic initial trip to the vet this afternoon - she REALLY didn‘t want to be in the exam room. At least she does a great job of keeping my lap warm while I read. Definitely a Blame it on Litsy read here.
Definitely fits the #guiltypleasure prompt for me - I flew through it. I really liked Kim & Bryant and it was well paced with enough twists to keep me guessing and turning the pages. I‘ll be reading more in the series for sure. #titlesandtunes #joysofjune
After such a long time not enjoying any police procedural as I feel like 2022 might be my year. I get this was a bit unusually paced but (horrific content aside) I enjoyed and will be trying the next in the series for sure. Edited - crimes there are 17 of them!
This was good but not outstanding for me. Kim Stone, a kick-butt, rule-breaking D.I. and her team must unravel 3 decade-old murders when bodies are unearthed at a former children‘s home. Meanwhile former staff of the home are also being silenced. What really happened there ten years ago? I enjoyed the team characters (especially Kim) but am hoping for (and I‘m sure I‘ll be able to get) closer to them in future books. Quite a bit of gruesomeness 🔻
The 'reading books snuggled up under a blanket' season is starting again... 😁📖
I just LOVE how these came out! 😍🧉🖌 I still have to varnish them, but that will be for another day when the humidity isn't so high. 🙈 #ampainting
More painting in process... Looking forward to see how this wooden set for drinking mate will come out! 😍🧉 Cookie bowl and yerba jar background done, next up the background on the mate and board. 🖌
Looking forward to read more of Silent Scream while I wait for the paint to dry... I'm really enjoying it so far!
For the last 3 days of #top20series #20series20days I‘m doing my top 3 favorite series! Starting with Kim Stone. She‘s awesome, she‘s strong, she takes no BS and she‘s a bada$$. I love her!
Pretty good! I never felt totally invested in the characters or the writing though.
Just doing some 1-clicking on this fine Friday morning. I love Kim Stone. She has helped me power through several rona slumps this year. #20Series20Days #Top20Series
#20series20days #Top20series Here‘s my first. Day 1. Angela Marson‘s Kim Stone series. An absolutely fabulous, fantastic, awesome, brilliant, tremendous, wonderful, and incredible series! Massively recommended! 💕💕💕💕 Won‘t be posting series from my childhood, sorry Enid Blyton and Astrid Lindgren, but the two of you would kill it!
📚LET'S PROMOTE READING AND OUR LOVE OF BOOKS!📚

Woohoo for my new series 👍🏻 Kim is a great character, feisty, sarcy and couldn‘t care less.
A good mystery and some great twists - can‘t wait to read more.
Reminds me a lot of Helen Grace 😁
Thanks Michele and Helen😘
Dark story , bad ass female detective with a haunted past, set in England....perfect combination for a good mystery. I will definitely be reading more books by Angela Marsons.
Day 28 - #Silent #MarchMadness
#SilentScream #AngelaMarsons
The is a first class mystery series! Great writing too!
I started rereading this series before continuing on with newer ones. I love D.I. Kim Stone as a main character. Her past gives her a unique approach to cases. She cares so strongly about getting justice for the victims. This one is an interesting mystery that intertwines current deaths with secrets (and bodies) from the past. The story is intense but there's a good bit of levity with Kim and her team's sarcasm and humor.
TW: child abuse
I‘ve been wanting to find a new badass lady detective series with a good number of books in the series and VOILA! Kim Stone fills the Helen Grace sized hole in my heart until a new offering from M.J. Arlidge. Already have the next couple ready to go. 👍🏼 #StartASeries
I read this about 2 years ago and still one of my favorite series. Unfortunately, I have yet to read any of the others. I love a strong female lead character and Angela Marsons definitely gives just that with her character Kim Stone. #silentscream #kimstone #angelamarsons #strongfemalelead #thesuspenseisthrillingme #bookworm
First October Read in my #screamathon bundle. Loving my H. H. Holmes bookmark made by the wildly creative @mreads 🔪 She has quotes from the serial killers and facts regarding their kills on the back of each one 😱
#TeamSlaughter
Happy October! This looks so fun @ferskner !! 👻 #screamathon
This is an excellent debut by Angela Marsons. The characters are all very interesting. I especially enjoyed the characters of D.I. Kim Stone and D.S. Bryant. The plot was intricate with many twists and turns which made it a real page-turner. The book took off from the very beginning and held my attention until the very surprising ending. I look forward to reading the 2nd book in the series. Highly recommend to those who love mystery thrillers.
Don‘t you love it when you find a new character, a new author, and a new series, based on book 1 this will become a new favourite. This book read so well and was a good introduction of the character Kim Stone. The book flows very well, a good group of characters has been pulled together, some great plotting and good interactions and dialogues between the characters. What‘s not to like! A good book for theorising on the killers. Recommended.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the Kim Stone series! Great detective story, chilling mystery, deep character development... my list could go on! Remains of several young girls from a horrible former children‘s home are found, and suddenly people related to the same place are getting murdered... It‘s time to face the past, and in the case of this book, even D.I. Stone has to face her demons. The Black Country seems blacker than ever!
It‘s so hot that I‘m having problems with focusing on reading. Was meant to start this yesterday, but started today. I had a couple of books I had to finish before they were due. This book is promising!
This is the location of the Group Read of Silent Scream on Librarything in case anyone wants to join the Group Read or wants to see what others thought of the book. I will seek to post the questions for each section at the end of each day. All welcome. 😊

Starting Silent Scream, the first book in the D.I. Kim Stone Series. Looking forward to this as wanted to read this series for some time following seeing some great reviews.
#24B4Monday Currently on 14 hrs 16 minutes in the Readathon.
This is the schedule for the Group Read of Silent Scream, the first book in the D.I. Kim Stone Series by Angela Marsons.
This group Read is taking place on Librarything, once the group is created tomorrow I will leave a post with a link to the group. All welcome to join us.
DI Kim Stone‘s first case in the series sees her team investigate the discovery of human remains in the grounds of a former children‘s home.
Given some of the other reviews I was perhaps expecting too much. Although it was a perfectly adequate crime novel, it wasn‘t a stand out. 3⭐️
TW: graphic violence & sexual assault. Also couple of instances of animal abuse mentioned.
Yay!!! I found a new series to devour. 10 books long at present. I truly enjoyed it. 😃
First book of the year complete. It wasn‘t a bad start to hopefully a really good series. I felt like it fell a little flat but I‘d still give it 3.5! 🌟 🤗
Back at it again on this gloomy Saturday morning. Happy Saturday, Littens! 😊
Started another book because I can‘t find a groove with anything I‘ve picked up. At least I‘m getting some intervals in this morning! 🤗
Silent Scream, book 1 in the DI Kim Stone Series, is currently available for 99p in the U.K. I know from people whose opinion I trust that this is an excellent series, although I am yet to start it. At this price it is too tempting not o get hold of that first book.
Has anyone read this? Any opinions?
I read this a while ago and enjoyed, just saw it‘s now 99p on Kindle
Even the darkest secrets can‘t stay buried forever…
Five figures gather round a shallow grave. They had all taken turns to dig. An adult sized hole would have taken longer. An innocent life had been taken but the pact had been made. Their secrets would be buried, bound in blood …
This is the first in a series with D.I. Stone and it has been on my kindle and TBR far too long.
Has anyone read this yet?

If anyone haven't started this series please do I'm biggest fan of Kim stone series.i recommend starting from book 1.
I thought I would love this more than I did but I figured it out pretty easily and I didn't really connect to Detective Kim..It was still enjoyable and I do plan to read the sequel.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Missed out on quality reading time this weekend so playing catch up during some unexpected time off early. Snacks, guilty pleasure TV and a book that just appeared on my Kindle last night..must have been sleep shopping! #litsypartyofone
