✨ Well... It's official. #LMPBC is over! I haven't read all the comments and notes yet, but I did read the last page with everyone's reviews. I'm so glad you ladies enjoyed this pick! I was a little nervous about it since dystopian is kind of... Repetitive.

✨This was hard actually for me. I couldn't decide between Kaz Brekker (SoC), but Phoenix from New World series definitely is my favorite! Completely outcasted living in a Dystopian world til she's forced to join forces with her enemies and even then she's still an outcast except to two other wonderful characters.

This book was really good and I mean REALLY good (all caps and everything) I am one to deeply care about characters, to a whole different level and this book gave me a whole set of them to care for and I sure did, the writing was good, the characters are awesome and the story was extremely addicting! Although it might sound like it's been done before believe me it hasn't and you should give it a shot! Trust me

This is a decent dystopian that moves fairly quickly and is pretty action packed. The heroine isn't totally annoying and the hero isn't a A-hole. Crumbling cities, tribes, govt control issues, violence, a surprisingly sincere romance with an all around nice guy, intelligent kick-ass females, makes this worth picking up. Cliffhanger warning! I'll probably read the next book down the road. #dystopian #newworldrising #fiction

Went and ordered New World Inferno for my daughter Dany(12yo) today. She's so excited. 😄

Don't read this book. It had an annoying protagonist who does nothing, basically no plot, and an increasing amount of errors as you get further in. It is absolutely not worth reading. Don't waste your time.

And if there wasn't a distinct lack of commas that was giving me an existential crisis about whether or not I know how commas are supposed to be used.

Then, we suddenly jumped from a dystopian novel to a pirate book.

First, there was the bread smile.

Okay, so Phoenix has done LITERALLY NOTHING this entire book. I'm not really sure what the plot of the book is exactly? I think it's "Phoenix agonizes over what she wants in life," because that's literally all she does: She has a mental argument about whether she should stay with the Subversive or escape back to Tartarus.

Technically also an #OwlCrate book, so New World Rising is next.

Another Summer Read! So glad the 2nd book is on Kindle Unlimited so the story can continue

I loved this book. An orphaned girl who learned to survive by shutting everyone out finds herself trapped and becomes caught up caring for others. Its intense, and always moving forward. I loved this book and highly recommend to anyone who loves dystopian books. 😍

Since witnessing her parents' murders at 11, Phoenix only wants to uphold her mother's dying words - to be strong and survive. But surviving outside of The Walls of The Sanctuary - is more like a drawn-out death sentence. A cruel and ruthless city, is run by the Tribes whose motto is simple, "Join or die."

Refusing to join and determined to live, Phoenix fights to survive in this savage world. But who can she trust, when no one can be trusted?

"Even the most gentle people have a dark side you know." I was trying to warn him. "I know," he said.
"It's how you control that darkness that defines you."

"Once I had opened a book and read its pages, those characters could never be taken away from me. Even if the books were burned, they would still live on in my mind. They couldn't die or betray you, friends on paper proved much more lucrative than real ones."

This was the extra in my latest Owlcrate box and I thought it was loads better than the main feature book. An engaging dystopian novel.

We got two books in our Owlcrate this month, the second being this lovely. I had already read this book before getting the box, I actually have one of the first printings. But this edition matches my copy of the sequel New World Ashes. Yay for all things matching! This is a great dystopian read and Phoenix is one of my favorite leading ladies. Taylor approved!

REALLY REALLY GOOD !!

Even though I thought the beginning was a little slow, it was still page turning and I still don't even wanna talk about the ending. Definitely my new favorite dystopian series. So much so, I broke my own rule and downloaded the second on Kindle.. (I don't do any kind of electronic reading. Takes away the experience imo.) I'll definitely be ordering the second ACTUAL book when the third comes out in Sept!

My daughter is starting her 3rd book of the summer today.

I got this one from #Owlcrate this month and I have to say, it was pretty good. The sentence structure was very simple, as was the vocabulary- which would make this a perfect read for a struggling reader looking for a Divergent read alike. Over all, I'd give this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Currently amazed by this book! Half through it and already wanna get the next one!

Also reading New World Rising. Surviving is best.

You may be a product of your parents, but they're not who you are. Too many people get caught up in the past. If we keep punishing people for what their parents or their ancestors have done, the world as a whole can never move forward. Society will never grow. With time, open wounds only fester, better to let them heal and forgive than to fester with hate.

So was I escaping or avenging? Honestly, I wasn't sure. Maybe I just wanted to see it all burn.

New World Rising and New World Ashes by Jennifer Wilson is a great series. The dystopian world she creates in these books is amazing and truly fascinating.
This series is action packed, and thrilling. I am loving Phoenix more and more with each turn of the page. Triven and Mouse have captured my heart and Ryker I am completely intrigued.
Now I will sit and pine for New World Inferno!!!!!
