Got off to a great start for #MarvellousMarch today. I finished Apples Never Fall on Audio, which I enjoyed. It wasn't my favorite Moriarty, but it was good. I also started and finished Holmes, Marple, and Poe, which was entertaining and quick. It's getting late - Poppy has already gone to bed (aka my lap), but I'm gonna get in a little nighttime reading of the tagged book. It's been a minute since I read book 1, so 🤞I am not lost.

My choice for April is Hexed. It is book two of The Iron Druid series. So many series to finish and start. I need to update my list. #SeriesLove2024

I enjoyed this second installment of The Iron Druid Chronicles. It is an extension of the first, so you need to read book 1 first. Also, there is a partly unresolved plot and I am hoping book 3 will wrap that up. Liked how there was further plot and character development in this book. In addition, the mix of old and new in the series works well together. 4.5 ⭐️

I'm in the worst reading slump right now. I'm in the middle of all of these books and my brain just doesn't want to work. It is getting annoying. What, if anything, do you do to jolt yourself out of a slump?

A goodwill find. I loved the 1st one in the series, so I have no doubt that I won't love this one as well. #tbrpile

Second in the Iron Druid series, this one has Atticus and friends fighting an invasion of German witches in Phoenix. It's unheavy, the cast is a hoot, and the dog never dies. What's not to like?

Put in a lot of miles in on the treadmill thanks to this book. The narrator does an excellent job with a great story. There are always a lot of characters to keep track of and keep straight, but somehow with this book it was easy. #february2019

Couldn‘t get into jt. Tried multiple times will try again in the future. Feel like I should like it but having trouble connecting.

So much fun! Love the narrator! This series is changing my mind about audiobooks, which I‘ve struggled with in the past. I also haven‘t read a lot of urban fantasy but I‘m thoroughly enjoying these books. #february2019

Finished. Now to decide if I want to buy the next audiobook or wait until February 5th for Scribd to get it. 😂

Subterranean Press is doing these gorgeous signed, numbered editions of Kevin Hearne‘s The Iron Druid series. Book 2 came while I was on holiday. 💜💜💜

Again, couldn‘t put it down. I had more problems with this one than I did the last (mostly Hearne‘s way of writing female characters) but still enjoyable. I have the next one on my desk, ready to go!

I finished this during todays nearly 2.5 hours #audiowalk. It got later than I planned but it definitely was worth it. An amazing story and just as exciting as the first book!

After another long work week complete with a 13 hour day yesterday I am not disappointed that today‘s plans were cancelled. Now I can drink tea and read all day. A friend expressed interest in this series when I mentioned I had started it so I want to finish this and send him the first two books to try out as a surprise. Hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday.

I'm rereading the Iron Druid series, and remembering why I enjoyed them so much. They're fast moving, fun, and vastly amusing. The banter between Atticus and Leif, in particular, never fails to put a smile on my face.

If you like urban fantasy, but are looking for something a little less vampire centered, this series is well worth your time.

The Iron Druid Chronicles center around the last known Druid, Atticus O‘Sullivan, and his faithful Irish Wolfhound, Oberon. The cast of characters includes witches, demons, werewolves, vampires, and a plethora of mythological and mystical beings. And, as serious as those subjects are, these books are humorous. It‘s hard to explain so you‘ll just have to read them for yourself. This is number two in the series.

Love the Celtic Mythology in this urban fantasy series. Finally getting around to reading No. 2.

I already cleaned out the kitchen drawers, dusted, and folded laundry. Now to read for an extra hour!

A talking dog to lighten the mood.

Book 2 done. Didn't care for the "big bad" in this one but loved getting to delve further into some of the established characters. Surprising loss along the way too - didn't see that one coming at all. Already into book three and once again am so thankful I picked this up as an audiobook. So so good with the narration!

The Iron Druid Chronicles are so funny. And you learn a great deal about celtic, norse and other mythologies 😀 Does anyone know something similar but with different pantheons? I only know stuff about norse, celtic, greek and latin mythology
