I‘m using the #loveathon prompts as a photo challenge. Because why not build up my never ending TBR? 😂
These two books are on my kindle but I haven‘t read them yet…I should try to get to one of them this month!

Uber-ing my children to all of their activities means more time to read in the car. Anyone read this one? That last read was SO good, I‘m hoping it continues for my next few reads.
Maybe it's because I don't read a lot of romance book that is why I am enjoying them so much. Maybe I have like the trope enemies to lovers. I thought this was super cute and was a really nice light read. 5/5
⭐️⭐️✨
Book #11: They met. It was, in fact, kinda cute. But I did find the whole back and forth a little bland. It‘s a girl meets celeb crush and then zooms forward to a future setting where she needs to help said-crush after he loses his parents and gains custody of his younger sister. No real surprises. I think my kitties stole the *cute* show. 💗
Girl meets former actor who she loved at as kid. They start to talk. They are both lawyers. She ends up involved with his messy life. And then they fall in love.
I hoped this book would be better than it was.
Kailyn, a very smart and ambitious lawyer, holds a big grudge against Daxton, who was the child star in her favorite TV show growing up, because he handed in her paper late in law school and she wasn‘t valedictorian because of it. She holds this grudge for five years even though it doesn‘t affect her life or job prospects at all. Then his parents die and he needs help with a custody battle (👇🏼)
As so many have said there are some serious ethical issues going on here. I can‘t figure out why the custody lawyer isn‘t involved in most of this, or why it‘s ok for the school to so brazenly take Linda‘s side, but 🤷🏻♀️.
Friends to enemies to lovers story, nothing new or outstanding, but a pleasant enough read. #borrownotbuy
I‘m over a hundred pages in and I just REALLY don‘t like Kailyn... does it get better? Should I keep going? Anyone read this one?
6th book in O.W.L.s besides your career you can take certifications. I chose Merpeople Linguistics-class-herbology prompt-mimbulus mimbleconia=book with m in title. Rom-com but has many sad parts, grief process, custody issues. Predictable, question in ethical area but I enjoyed it, specially in this quarantine. He was an actor in his teen, she the fangirl, met him in college, hated him for something he did, saw him 5 years later at work. Ok.3.4⭐️
Another audiobook session with Ash getting up close and cuddly #catsoflitsy
I found this book confusing - it‘s a sweet rom-com about an awful custody case after a horrible family trauma and the grief it causes?? The tone was alllll over the place. I just kept thinking about the ethics of the MC and it all felt very awkward. There was just too much going on. I made Chrissy Tiegen face a lot. 👍🏼👍🏼

I thought of this chick lit contemporary romance where Kailyn meets Daxton Hughes (the actor from her favorite television show who she has a major CRUSH on) when she trips over him at college.
There are no surprises here in this cute, but highly predictable romance. If Linda had a mustache, she would be twirling it. There are much better similar books out there. I suggest something by Helen Hoang or Christina Lauren instead.
Finished off my last book of 2019, and I‘m pleased to say that I really enjoyed it! As with every passing year since finding Litsy, my annual reading stats have continued to grow and grow. ♥️

Today‘s audiobook! Getting in some more time for #24B42020 while I commute to meet my best friend. I haven‘t seen her since last summer, so I‘m buzzing with excitement 🌟♥️💃🏻
I‘ve been wanting to read this one for a while, so I‘m happy to finally get around to it. #MerryReaders #WinterGames
This is the one book I hope to read before 2020! Hopefully I can get to it soon, since I just got the download through LibraryCloud. 🌟

This story was not nearly as cutesy as the cover makes it seem! There‘s a lot going on besides the sweet romance with a custody battle, grief, and career drama happening for both main characters. The characters were good, the plot was okay, but the writing was a hard pass. It was somehow super explanatory without being very descriptive and there were a lot of cringey lines throughout.
#Litsylove #winterswap @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Thank you so much @CarolineLovesToRead - it‘s like you read my mind with the book choice! One of my fave authors and I‘m so looking forward to reading this! Loved the bookmark and Loved the card too - very Canadian of you😂
Do not judge a book by its cover, the cuteness of this cover does not do this book justice! This book had so much more than a love story, it felt so good reading a romance that felt grounded in a real life situation! I really liked how this was told from both Dax‘s perspective and Kailyn‘s perspective. There love story felt whole. 🥰. Author Helena Hunting is becoming a go-to author for me when I wanna read contemporary romance!5 heartfelt stars!
This book made me laugh right off the bat. It's cute and lovey-dovey like I hoped BUT there was also an unexpected depth that really rounded out the book. Great characters, and actually a really good, realistic plot. One of my favorites I've read of the genre! Fans of Christina Lauren will love this one.
We got off to a rocky start as it wasn‘t quite the fluffy book I was anticipating, but all is well that ends well. Couldn‘t stop listening!
I‘m enjoying Meet Cute so far, but I feel bamboozled. It‘s been an emotional few weeks for me and I was looking for something cute and fun, and I ended up tearing up in chapter 3. Nothing about this cover screams “emotional”. Sigh.

I‘m about to be a total outlier on this one but...
I liked the characters and I liked the idea of the set up. I liked the dialogue and I loved the younger sister.
BUT
There is no way that these two should have been carrying on a relationship while she was involved in their legal situation - and that wasn't even addressed. There was a way to write this where it wasn‘t so ethically murky but the more i think about this, the more annoyed I get!

Oh yeah, I am behind again this week.😬Just trying to survive until the 3-day weekend. Pardon me, I‘m going to cheat & do 2 prompts to catch up. The male lead in this romance is a #Star on the heroine‘s favorite tv series when they meet cute at college. When she thinks he wronged her & made her GPA suffer & they meet again years later, she isn‘t too willing to forgive him & feels she doesn‘t want to give him #AllOfMyHeart...at first.💛
Good premise but it after a while it got overly dramatic. Fangirl all grown up but not. And a bad case of overexplain. So. Many. Adverbs.
1. I loved the tagged book. It was everything that I want in a rom-com!
2. Jess
3. Baked Cheese Fries with extra cheese sauce on the side.
4. Reading and hoping kicking this cold that I have. The two year olds I teach shared their germs!

Prepare for a binge of reviews. I enjoyed it. Fun read. TV heartthrob crush + frenemies. My favorite scene may be the CVS scene. There are some sad parts, but overall, light hearted.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
A cute and sexy, yet, serious romance that was a fun and quick read. A perfect book for summer.
What are you reading today?
Super cute book! The slight mystery behind it was obvious from the get-go but the romance was swoony. Thoroughly enjoyable, quick read. Perfect for my book/brunch kind of day 😄 #romance
I loved this book. It was so cute. There were times that I was glad not one was around because I was laughing so much! They would have thought I was crazy. I loved Dax and Kailyn even thou there was times my heart broke for them. I can't wait to read more books by this author!
Tonight's reading buddy looks a little different! Elliott came to visit! 📚👶🏻📚👶🏻📚👶🏻
The ‘meat‘ (pun intended) of this book is a serious topic. But as a RomCom it‘s filled with the sexual tension and immature thoughts of otherwise intelligent adults that would be wildly inappropriate in serious dramatic fiction. However, from a RomCom perspective, I think it‘s pretty darn ‘cute‘ (pun intended yet again). ... I don‘t think the cover art matches the story, at all - in case you‘re likely to choose by the cover.
4/5
This is a super cute book. The romance is sweet and all the characters are great. The prologue gave me excruciating amounts of second hand embarrassment, but it was worth it despite that.
"Sometimes the darkest tragedies bring us the brightest lights."
Ahh, just finished Meet Cute, and I loved it so much! Listened to the whole thing in less than 24 hours and it's so adorable and sweet. This was the perfect rom-com after a really dark thriller. That ending was just ?????.
I've been listening to this one while trying out a new recipe today--Cauliflower Parm! Only set the fire alarm off four times 🤣😂. Anyway, so far the Aunt Flo section has had me cracking up the most in this book!
