This was a great read and I‘ve loved her others! When five siblings return to the camp run by their now-dead parents, secrets and lies surface as the murder of one of their friends years ago was never solved and the inheritance hinges on it. Solid mystery with plenty of red herrings!

This kept me guessing until the end. There was a lot to unpack with this family and it would have been interesting to dive more into the back stories of the siblings and parents.

The MacAllister siblings have to return to Camp Macaw, where they spent their summers as children, to read their parent‘s will and decide what to do with the camp after the parent‘s sudden deaths.

This was an excellent book. Very fast read for me and very hard to put down. I love books with short chapters that always seem to give you just a little bit more information to keep you wanting to read.💖💖💖

I‘ll Never Tell was engaging from start to finish. I loved the camp setting, the multiple points of view, and the classic “who dunnit” feel to this novel. The characters were well-developed and distinct, although each of them is deeply flawed and, at times, unlikeable. It kept me guessing the whole way through and I didn‘t want it to end. This was my #bookspin pick for June and a long overdue #netgalley read (it came out last summer, whoops)! 4⭐️

I guessed it, then I changed my mind 5 times, then I changed it back. Not a five star read, but it was twisty and held my attention.

The McCallister family owns a summer camp in Canada and several years ago something nefarious happened to a camper while on an overnight camping trip. Now that all the McCallister kids are grown, they decide to come back to the camp to figure out what really happened. A quick read and another winner from Catherine McKenzie ❤️🛶🏊‍♂️🏕

I‘m mixed between pick and so-so... great ending and definitely didn‘t suspect it at all (to me that means the most). I didn‘t love the multiple POV of every character in the book which kind of made it boring during some pivotal parts.
I‘m a sucker for a “who dun it?” Mystery book so I‘ll say give it a chance if you have patience. If you don‘t, then maybe pass on this one. ✋🏽the ending paid off for me tho.

There were a few instances where I felt like the writing was a little awkward, but I loved the story, and I did not see the ending coming at all.

The MacAllister family is surrounded by secrets. Each member of the family holds a key to unlocking the mystery of the tragic accident that happened 20 yrs before at their families summer camp. The sudden death of both of their parents reunita them at camp for the will reading and the chance to solve the mystery that has loomed over all of them for 20 yrs. The truth will take you by surprise as each secret comes to light. A wonderful mystery!

Not a fan. Told the story from too many characters‘ views and flipped between two time periods. Finished just because that‘s what I do, but personally found this read to be tedious.

Started a new audiobook tonight while doing a bit of housework (less to do tomorrow) and Patty Catty wanted to wish you all a happy and superstitious free Friday the 13th.
PS - this book has a camp setting and that is always my favorite!

A year after the unexpected deaths of their parents, the five MacAllister siblings reunite at Camp Macaw for the reading of the will. An unusual final request by their father forces them to face a 20 year old tragedy, an unsolved mystery that one of the siblings is involved in. Not the author‘s strongest or my favourite novel of hers but nonetheless an entertaining fast read that had me hooked from the first page. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #netgalley #reviewathon

I'll Never Tell is definitely written in the modern day mystery template. It is fast paced, multiple timelines, and multiple POV's (in fact, almost too many).

This book is...not good, & there was so much potential with the plot and setting that I am beyond disappointed to have to say that. The writing is...I just can‘t. The characters are all completely loathsome people and the author drops all these clues and plot points that could have made for an epic thriller and instead are just...never resolved. I‘m sorry I wasted all my commutes on this book this week & honestly wish I had just DNFed. Terrible.

4.5 ☆ This is so good! 🏕🛶 I‘ve finally read my first Catherine McKenzie book and it was unputdownable. Part mystery-part thriller about a 20yr old unsolved tragedy involving a teen camp counselor + a father‘s will with it‘s off-the-charts terms he set for his son to be able to inherit.
The suspense was crazy-good and towards the end the biggest secrets of all - their father‘s + the person responsible for Amanda twenty years ago. A must read!

Crazeedi Sounds really good!!! 5y
