I think I am one of the few people who did not really care for this book. The illustrations are great, heck they are amazing. But the story is lacking. The word play is catchy but some of the concepts might be hard for those with a limited vocabulary. I like the idea of the book, but not the completed vision.

I‘m still not reading, but here‘s a picture of a new baby, one very happy daddy, and two smitten sisters.
1. Nope. I'm not an expert in this area. 2. I think it is pretty good if I take in consideration the big lines I made during quarantine and other situation. I usually read few books per month. 3. I had problems not resolved yet😡since April so I haven't purchased anything online. Since BookMarkPR opened on June 1st🙌I have visited the store once a week. Today I bought few books because I needed them📚😌 Thank You @WanderingBookaneer
1. I adore Melissa Sweet‘s colorful, mixed-media artwork! Besides tagged book, I highly recommend Little Red Writing, A Splash of Red, The Right Word, Firefly July, and Balloons Over Broadway..
2. Summer reading has been fantastic. I have been reading #LGBTQYA for pleasure and to post on my bookstagram rainbow.bookworm (shameless plug) as well as books to continue to educate myself about racial issues in the U.S.
3. I bought a few books yesterday.
I found this book a bit hard to read. The words were in various fonts and sizes and some even sideways.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 I really enjoyed this book filled with explosive colors and creative, fun collage art. A great message about reading but with the bright colors it was difficult on the eyes to read.
🎧 Read by the author with the story behind the poem afterward. This was great!!

📚📚 Aesthetically, this is probably the wildest and most creative book Logan and I have encountered. It is an incredibly artistic and beautiful display of art, design and craft.
4/5 ⭐️

Read a few #ImpulseRead picture books last night. All were included in the first round of Goodreads Choice Awards and perfectly enjoyable. #wintergames #merryreaders
All though I love to read in any form, my preferred format is a physical book!! #preferredformat #gratefulreads @OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

I prefer hardcover books, preferably in a backyard hammock, in mild temps📚🤗! I really want to read this book—Kwame is one of my favorite authors

In this exhilarating children‘s #picturebook for all ages, Kwame Alexander‘s poem about the joy and power of reading is paired with Melissa Sweet‘s spectacular collage art in neon colours. Also incorporated: scraps of text from the classic novel Bambi and poetry by Nikki Giovanni—there are layers to uncover. Pure delight.
First, find a tree—a black Tupelo or dawn redwood will do—and plant yourself.
(It‘s okay if you prefer a stoop, like Langston Hughes.)
Once you‘re comfy, peel its gentle skin, like you would a clementine the colour of sunrise,
the scent of morning air and sweet butterfly kisses.
Next, dig your thumb at the bottom of each juicy section and pop the words out
piece by piece, part by part, page by rustling page.
Gorgeous in both words and art. Alexander and Sweet should always work together. They should come to my house and decorate my walls. They should turn my house into a poetic art installation.
I digress.
This is fantabulously amazing. I read the criticisms that it is difficult to read (like physically) because the words and text are mixed into the art. That is totally valid. I just think it is completely worth the effort.
I hate posting pictures of myself, but this book deserves it. Seek it out and read it. Not only is it gorgeous, but the words will resonate with readers of all ages. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Melissa Sweet is my favorite children‘s book illustrator.
Because of the author, this is an auto MUST READ for me.
