Y‘all!!! 😍😍😍 Amazing!!

While in NYC over the weekend, we made a (too quick) stop at The Strand. It was hopping for a Sunday evening!! What an incredible place. I made a kind of frenzied dash and walked out with 3 books I hadn‘t heard of and 1 I‘ve been looking forward to picking up! Will post those later!

I really stuck to my goal to only buy books in NYC, my last stop on my USA tour. I visited the big & popular The Strand bookstore and I not only bought books, but so much bookish merch too! A tote bag, a small bag, a bookmark, a sticker, a postcard and three books. The store was very crowded and people constantly bumped into each other.

Was recently in NYC for 24 hours and finally got to hit the Strand Bookstore (on 12th and Broadway — not Columbus which is the only tag option Litsy has) !! I‘m obsessed with my new tote bag ?. As it was 95° and we still had a lot of walking left to do, did not want to schlep lots of books around. So I got the one. Also a Strand sticker and bookmark ?. Hope to get to spend more time there next time — I think we were there only 45 minutes.

Marked this of my #bookbucketlist ! Finally visited the flagship store and was a little overwhelmed. So many great new and used books and bookish goodies! Managed to keep myself under control, mainly due to luggage limits. #travelingreader

Spent the night in NYC to see “Hamilton” on Broadway. And of course no trip to NYC can ever be complete without a pilgrimage to the Strand. 🙌🏼

I was so excited to get my first subscription box from The Strand that I ran out to greet the postal carrier looking like this 😂
