We get to see the gang investigate another high stakes mystery, meet some new kids, some development on young love, & a dramatic rescue! More importantly, we get to see Trixie fail in her investigations, & then pick herself back up, apologize for her assumptions, & try, try again. It‘s always great to see failure treated as natural.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Finished the other day for #BobWhiteBuddies this is Book 9 & a fun one with some serious danger for some of the group as they spend spring break (except poor Dan) in Iowa at the Belden‘s uncle‘s sheep ranch. Trixie is on the case of some missing sheep & making a few mistakes along the way. There‘s ice skating & rabbit chasing & new friends who show up in a later book. This is one of my favorites mainly ⬇️

Going for nostalgia here. Trixie & the Bob-Whites seemed to partake of #IceSkating in multiple books but I remember in this one they traveled to Iowa to their uncle‘s farm (where sheep were disappearing) & joined in an ice skating (& basketball) event at a local school.
