This was gifted to me by my sister and I also have the ebook version so it‘s with me in the VI. I was glad to find an ebook that I also have the physical book to choose for #TBRtarot.
so-soBetty is a lonely older lady who struggles with jealousy and judging other people who have more than she does. All thankfully ends well here, but I did not like the way Betty treated the sweet little stray pup that ended up on her doorstep. I know it‘s fiction, I know there was ultimately a good ending, but I never was able to get past how she treated the dog. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat animals. You just can.

But really I just wanted to show off Henry‘s new Christmas bear from Auntie Meg @Megabooks ! He loves it - I don‘t think he‘s ever had a crinkly toy before so it‘s all very exciting.

Loving all the pet pictures today and my mutt and I were starting to feel a bit of fomo so we‘re jumping on the doggie band wagon. This picture was taken this morning of my sweet girl. I love it when she looks back to check on me.

I have read several Melody Carlson Christmas books, mostly because the covers have lured me in. This one was the least favorite, mainly because the MC seemed to jump from one conclusion to the next and back within a few paragraphs. The conclusion was satisfying and it‘s a fun one to add to the Christmas reading list!

Happy Christmas to everyone celebrating today! Casey and I read "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle" by Arthur Conan Doyle right after we got up, and now we're waiting on the rest of the family so we can eat breakfast and open presents. Not necessarily in that order.
