Not a bad story except that it was trying to do too much, but the characters were fun. And for some reason the antique picking really caught my attention 🤷🏻♀️

Diane Mayhew, James thought, was unhinged. She was pointing a gun at him and asking him for decorating hints. It occurred to James that most of the women in Savannah he had contact with were, on some level, slightly deranged. Look at Marian, his sister-in-law. And Denise Cahoon. And Merijoy Rucker.
It could be hormones, he decided. Or maybe just the humidity...
Enjoyable read! Loved the Savannah setting, which I will be visiting this summer for the first time. ? Antiques, cheating ex husband whose fiancée is found murdered. Oh and a best friend trying to set the MC up with the hot new chef at her restaurant. What‘s not to love? ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
I really wanted to love this - I‘ve read a later book in the series and adored it. But a lot is shoved into this book - honestly there could have been two books here. I want to keep reading about Weezie and Bebe because they are a hoot - but maybe with less storylines per book. #Bookspinbingo
I think it may have been the wrong time or wrong media, I listened to the audiobook and this wasn't my favorite. I felt like it went on a little too long. 😁
Meet Weezie, a feisty antiques “picker,” banished by her spiteful ex-husband from the house she herself restored in Savannah, who must come to terms with a life that has suddenly changed. In Savannah Blues, readers will feel the sultry Georgia breezes and taste sea salt in the air, as they lose themselves in a wonderful, witty tale brimming with sass and peopled by a cast of delightfully eccentric characters.

Not sure if antiques-picker Weezie ever actually got #DinnerAtEight in this one - the downside of dating a chef (and childhood sweetheart) is dinner is likely at strange times. But the food is great!
I really enjoyed this - there was romance, friendships, big old houses - oh, and a murder mystery to get to the bottom of. Great fun! #timbittunes

If I were at the beach, rather than on my couch here in the rainy Midwest, this book would be the perfect #beachread !! #booked2018 🏖⛱🏝☀️
I thought I had read this, but GR thinks not. I have to trust, I guess! Hopefully I‘ll get to a beach soon, and this would make the perfect #beachread! #Readingresolutions. 🏖☀️
My 5th read of this year. I think I've found a new favorite author. There were so many laugh out loud moments, but just as many tender ones too. Andrews is a master at blending the two.
I love little details like this. How cute is this little townhouse at the start of every chapter?
When I do my end of year reading round-up, I already know the title of "most read author in 2017" will go to Mary Kay Andrews.
I don't really like mysteries but I love Weezie and Bebe!
A fun read. Weezie Foley is an antiques picker. When she hears of an estate sale at a big old country house, she's keen to get there early. Murder, romance, dodgy dealings, good friends, chaotic family and very good/bad food ensue.
Started this on audio while doing an autumn tidyup of the allotment, and it's a perfect, fun, snappy read. (And probably better to read about heat & iced tea when you're freezing & clutching a vacuum flask)
I seem to be on an antiques-spree, bookwise, at the moment, despite having no antiques interest irl, though I am a sucker for a big old crumbling house...
Everything crossed that this will be an author I can come back to time & time again!
I can not believe no one has reviewed this book yet!!!! 😳 Mary Kay Andrews is a Goddess of a writer! I devoured this book, which is a perfect light and airy beach read that left me wanting to scour estate sales and flea markets for treasures and slip into an it's okay to be a hoarder mind set. 😂 Anyway it's AmazeBalls and you should read it!
Good easy summer read. I love her characters. So fun, this one was totally me, the junker! I fell in the love with the pictures in my head of all her junking finds. lol
The first book that come to mind when I saw the #day7 #augustphotochallenge was Savannah Blues by Mary Kay Andrews. Bebe and Weezie are my #favbookishfriendships. They are always there for each other and helping each other solve mysteries that's pops up in their lives in this four book series. These books will make you laugh out loud. Great summer read. I also enjoyed that she mentions Savannah facts in her stories. @TheSpinecrackersBookClub
A nice, light and quick read, perfect for days when you just want to set your brain power to low and enjoy a story.
