A rich Brit hires Leo, an unlikely detective who started a website when his girlfriend went missing, to find his long lost daughter. She‘s drawn some money from her trust while in Kathmandu, so that‘s where Leo goes first. The first half of this book is well written and plotted. It goes to heck when the typos start and keep coming, and the writing deteriorates. On the one hand, the descriptions of #Nepal are excellent—the author is well- ⬇️

I should not be reading a dystopian sci-fi in this day and time. It still kept my interest. And, validates the notion that leaders should have compassion while being bred to kill for the future to exist.

Amélie is expressing my opinion of the ending. An early novel, this shows the promise of what Cash will become. But it‘s not there yet. It does a great job of evoking its place, and I want to love some of the characters. But they‘re not totally believable. Still a good escapist read. It‘ll be interesting to hear my non southern book club members‘ opinions. #LetterL #LitsyAtoZ @Texreader
A lot of DNFs this month made it so I didn‘t read as many books as I hoped, but the I really enjoyed most of the others I read.

This sweet story was a loose retelling of Sense and Sensibility, set in modern day Austin, Texas. I enjoyed it on its own merits, and after the first few chapters, forgot to look for similarities with the original. A light fun read, with enough surprises to give it some depth.
