It‘s a so-so because I feel about 35 years too old for it, but I know I would have loved it and Sierra when I was 15! Well written urban fantasy
And completed my #pocmcparanormal and #booked2019 overall 🎉🎉 now I can plan some of next years.

As always, these are what I felt like today but who knows!
Starting tagged one this morning, hopefully get an hour or so before anyone else gets up 😁
Definitely in the need for some tales of gutsy women!
I have one more to read for #booked2019 but just don‘t fancy anything for it at the moment 🤷♀️
I read this one for #booked2019 for the #pocmcparanormal prompt. I love Alice in Wonderland and thought this was a great modern day retelling of the original. I thought the characters and plot were really fun and exciting and the way that they incorporated bits of the original were really interesting. This reminded me a little bit of The Mortal Instruments series, which I also love. I thought this was a really fun and exciting book!
Typically, any mention of magical realism or supernatural phenomena will make me steer clear of a book. But I took a chance on this one for #booked2019 #POCMCparanormal and I‘m so glad I did! The paranormal #rayoflight is so lightly laced through this story that it almost seems a figment of the characters‘ imagination- part of their hope that must be kept alive in order to get through the horrors of slavery.

This was not what I was expecting, for some reason I thought it was going to be more of a ‘tough‘ read. The subject matter is obviously difficult but it was a page turner at the same time. It was very tell not show. Good characters and I loved the premise. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #pocmcparanormal #booked2019
My #weeklyforecast this week is dedicated to #booked2019 📚 I‘ve made some progress on each of these reads this weekend:
Ohio #bookaboutaddiction
William, an Englishman #soldiersstory
The Water Dancer #PoCMCParanormal (which I am LOVING by the way, can't put it down!)
Thanks to our hosts for the bookish inspiration!! @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft
This was an easy read with diverse characters and a great MC. I like that the author combined the spirit world with the art world, and there was enough creepy to keep my interest.

I am thankful to my new book club for opening me up to a masterpiece. I haven‘t read anything by the author before, but he has such a way of words that it was so hard not to feel like you were in the story. There were some hard parts to read, but I felt the ending fit the book. It also satisfies the last prompt for #booked2019 for me #pocmcparanormal. Hiram has a power that is core to the book, but it‘s not understood until almost the end.
I‘m still all over the place, 16 finished... 8 to go though.
This quarter I read:
July/Aug/Sept
19. Hey, Kiddo - #BookAboutAddiction
2. Spinning Silver - #FairyTaleRetelling
10. How To Build A Girl - #FeaturesAMusician
16. The Walking Dead Vol.32 - #Comic
17. Down Girl - Book Gifted to Me
22. Storm Cursed - #POCMCParanormal
9. Every Day is a Good Day - #IndigenousAuthor
#Booked2019
I loved this book!! You really don't have an option to question what's going on as you're thrown into a world where Alex is a bruja and trying to reject her powers before her Deathday. Things don't work out as planned and sometimes we need to realize that what we think of as burdens are really our greatest strengths. #POCMCParanormal #Booked2019 #Autumn
