I've enjoyed this one more than I did the first one. The pace is just really slow and for the best part of the book it feels like nothing is happening.... And then in the last 80 pages I couldn't put the book down. And now I have to read the next one. I NEED TO KNOW!

Linear I loved the original series. I thought I'd be able to get into this one because of how much I liked the original. But... I just couldn't >_ 2mo

While I'm 100% in support of the message this book holds, I was not a fan. I couldn't find one single character I liked. The story dragged and I just couldn't engage with it.
If I haven't had it on audio I would definitely have DNF it.

I love it when a contemporary doesn't stick to the happily ever after! I've heard that most people loved this book up until the ending. I like it because of the ending.

This was my first go with Picoult, and I quite enjoyed her writing style. Any suggestions on what else of her I could try?

Clwojick House Rules & Handle With Care are other 5* of mine with Mercy, Plain Truth and Spark of Light following shortly behind. The last three could definitely have trigger warnings though, so just look into it ahead of time if that could be an issue for you. She has a great way of bringing light to tough topics. I also second Nineteen Minutes, and The Pact being great reads. 8mo

Oooh, this was just delicious! With Christie half the fun is seeing the solution neatly laid out at the end and piecing it together again backwards, and this one seemed especially well plotted so I got to relish that sense of surprise all over again as I ran back through how everything fit together.
