Clare-Dragonfly Yay for Bob! Kind of mad at Maggie for saying she doesn‘t owe a grudge to anyone. Not that it would help if Bob went and beat up Stephen anyway. I wonder what is going on with Stephen. It sounds like Tom wants to duel him but something is stopping him. Presumably duels are illegal so it might just be that. 10h

dabbe So, it's like we thought. Stephen gets away, and Maggie bears the heat. It probably would have been better overall for everyone if she HAD married Stephen; at least she'd still sort of have her reputation, and Lucy and Phil would get over it someday. If I were Maggie, I'd get the hell out of dodge and away from those hypocrites. 6h

Daisey These are some frustrating chapters, and as was mentioned in I think yesterday‘s discussion, we don‘t have many chapters left for things to work themselves out. I didn‘t think I could like Tom less than I already did, but this chapter managed it. 5h

ElizaMarie @Daisey YES !!! I disliked Tom for all his #HolierThanThou attitudes then, and now I loath him for his constant jackassery! Ugh! And he didn't even let Maggie explain herself. I am super surprised the Momma finally has her motherly vibe and goes with Maggie - that was a shocker! 1h
