Tagging some who played last week. 🤗

Texreader Thanks for the tag again! I read 10, with women being my favorite authors again: Octavia Butler and Jane Austen. 2mo
TheLudicReader I got 19, but I own a few others that I haven‘t yet read. Geesh, you think you read a lot and then do these lists. 😂 2mo
CogsOfEncouragement 20 this time 2mo
See All 62 Comments
Bookwormjillk I got 20% which is one less than last week. It makes me feel old that there are books on this list that I can remember when they first came out 🤣 2mo
rwmg 32

I seem to be getting better each week
2mo
Amiable @TheLudicReader Exactly! I only had 18, much to my chagrin. And I took AP English. Where the heck was I? 😄 2mo
tpixie Only 16. 2mo
melissajayne 21. favourites include Pride & Prejudice, Obasan, and The Odyssey 2mo
DGRachel I got 17 for this one with too many favorites to list! Cormac McCarthy, Macbeth, Othello, Much Ado About Nothing, the Austens. I just wish I could count each reread! 😂 2mo
Deblovestoread Thanks for the tag! ❤️🩷❤️ 2mo
kspenmoll 28. Pride & Prejudice, The Odyssey, MacBeth, 2mo
Catsandbooks Only 11. I've read more by authors who were on the list but not those exact books 2mo
BooksandCoffee4Me 32. Favorites: Our Town, The Power and the Glory, all of the Austin novels. 2mo
thebacklistbook 14/100 mostly the Shakespeare. 2mo
Mollyanna Thanks for the tag. I‘ve only read 14. Ugh! And like @Amiable I took AP English. I do have quite a few on my TBR. 2mo
Eggs ❤️❤️ 2mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag 5!! One of my best results from these AP lists. I recognised more titles this week too ☺️ 2mo
dabbe @Texreader I have yet to read anything by Butler; she's now on my list! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @TheLudicReader You do read a LOT! Most of these are ancient, I mean (ahem) classics. You beat my sorry ass this week! 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @CogsOfEncouragement Better than me! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Bookwormjillk And they were on our high school “to-read“ lists and are still there! 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @rwmg Ya whipped me this week! 🙌🏻 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Amiable So did I! I have to admit that my head was sometimes buried in Cliff's Notes. 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @tpixie You're in good company; my score was 18! 🤩 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @melissajayne Never read OBASAN; I put it on the TBR. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @DGRachel I still can't believe I've never read anything by McCarthy. You've inspired me! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Deblovestoread YW! 😘 2mo
dabbe @kspenmoll Ya whopped my sorry butt! MACBETH's my favorite Shakespearean play of all time. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Catsandbooks I say you should count those and redo! 🤩 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me You should count 'em! 🤩 2mo
dabbe @BooksandCoffee4Me Ya whooped my sorry butt! 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @thebacklistbook Yay, you! I need more Shakespeare in my life. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Mollyanna @Amiable Same here! Maybe we should have an AP English buddy read! 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Mollyanna @Amiable Same here! Maybe we should have an AP English buddy read! 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Eggs 😘 2mo
dabbe @thegirlwiththelibrarybag Yay, you! Can we count them if we recognize them? 🤔🤩😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
DGRachel @dabbe You can go wrong with No Country for Old Men, but I would avoid The Passenger and Stella Maris duology. This reminds me the Blood Meridian is still on my TBR. I really need to get to that one… 2mo
Amiable @dabbe I do honestly toy with the idea of going back and reading all of those classics that I was supposed to have read but instead managed to get through AP English armed only with a cursory review of Cliff's Notes and a winning smile for my teacher. 😄 2mo
dabbe @DGRachel Good to know! I've been scared to read him! 😅 Thanks. 🤗 2mo
dabbe @Amiable I wish we had been in the same class together. We would have been #incahoots! 🤩😂🤗 2mo
DGRachel @dabbe I totally meant cannot go wrong with No Country. Just know it‘s violent. The Road is probably his best known and it‘s excellent but depressing. 2mo
Amiable @dabbe OMG, my English teacher was legendary! On the 1st day of class she told how she escaped Budapest during the Hungarian revolution in 1956 by swimming across the Danube with a backpack holding only a change of clothes and “Hamlet.“ Kind of hard to complain about Shakespeare after that! She also claimed to be a judge for the Nobel Prize for Literature. Found out years later from her obit that she actually was! She scared the bejesus out of us. 2mo
willaful 13 for me. Not many favs other than Pride and Prejudice, though I was really into One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest back in the day. 2mo
tpixie @Amiable what an amazing resilient teacher you had! 2mo
Mollyanna @Amiable Your teacher sounds amazing! 2mo
Amiable @tpixie @Mollyanna We did not appreciate her at the time! She was intense and had sky-high expectations for us. We were all afraid of her, mostly. 😄 But now I can credit her for the success I‘ve had in college, grad school and my career. I can draw a straight line from the things I learned in her class to today —40 years later. 2mo
tpixie @Amiable that‘s amazing. I think that happens with teachers- it‘s not until we reflect on our life that we can appreciate their impact 🩵🤍🩵 2mo
dabbe @DGRachel Fabulous advice. I will file these emotions away, and when I'm ready, I'll give him a try! 🤩 2mo
dabbe @Amiable She sounds like an incredible woman. She could have penned her own memoir/autobiography! 🤩 2mo
dabbe @willaful P&P is my fave Austen. I've even read some horrible pastiches just to revisit Darcey and Elizabeth in as many ways as I could! 😂 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Amiable I also was terrified of my AP English teacher. She gave me a “C“ on my 1st essay. I had NEVER received a C in anything in English. I ran to my mom in the library (she worked at my high school) and begged her to get me out of her class. “No way,“ was her reply. “You've finally met someone who's going to take you out of your comfort zone.“ Ms. Wogan was the only teacher I came back to visit my 1st weekend home from college. 🩶 2mo
MonicaLoves2Read I have read 12, 6 in High School 6 in College 2mo
Kitta Read 12, this list is very different from my reading list in school! My favourite would have to be the Picture of Dorian Gray, which I read on my own time in University. I have an Oscar Wilde tattoo 😂 so probably no surprise there. 2mo
dabbe @MonicaLoves2Read #yahooyou! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 2mo
dabbe @Kitta DORIAN is one of my top 3 from this list as well! I'd love to see your tattoo, too! Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩶🩷🩶 (edited) 2mo
Kitta @dabbe it‘s a nightingale and a rose, 🥀 🐦 from the short story! I‘ll post a picture if I can, it‘s on my inner bicep so hard to photograph 😂 2mo
dabbe @Kitta 🤩🤗🤩 2mo
PurpleyPumpkin 23/100, not bad! Favourites are The Picture of Dorion Grey, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Obasan. Always fun to do these, thanks for the tag!💜 1mo
AnishaInkspill thanks for the tag 😍 1mo
dabbe @PurpleyPumpkin Better than my sorry butt! Thanks for playing and sharing! 🩶🩷🩶 1mo
