repost for @Librarybelle:
March‘s #NancyDrewBR follows Nancy on a trip—if you read the 1940 version, it‘s South America, and the 1976 version is the Netherlands. I think there must be a mystery surrounding a brass-bound trunk…😂
Discussion on March 15th! Please let me know if you would like to be added or removed from the tag list. Can‘t wait to see what amazing skills Nancy has this time, #LittenDetectives !
Can you believe we‘re now up to book 17?!?

Another fun, light mystery in the Nancy Drew series and my 6th book for #SeriesRead2022 @TheSpineView
I managed 11 bingo squares this month, which is pretty good for me, but I feel like I was intentionally trying not to get a bingo 😂 Maybe next month! #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks
This also filled the Unfogging the Future Prompt for the #OWLsReadingChallenge
When the wrong trunk is delivered to Nancy‘s room on her cruise ship a new mystery literally lands at her feet.

I haven‘t read a Nancy Drew book in such a long time, and I don‘t remember ever reading this one when I was a kid. Nancy and three friends are sailing from Rotterdam to NYC when Nancy sees someone on the dock signing her name to someone else on board the ship. There‘s a mysterious trunk, stolen jewels, masked intruders - lots of mayhem and fun! Of course Nancy figures everything out in the end. And this book made me chuckle unintentionally...

I thought of this brass-titled Nancy Drew mystery I read years ago. I suppose if you found a brass-bound trunk full of jewelry & documents, you would have #BrassinPocket at least maybe from a reward?😉 Also I once made the Brass-Bound Trunk Candy from The Nancy Drew Cookbook for a book tour review. (Link 👇🏻if you want to see it) but you don‘t want it “in pocket“ as it will melt! 😆
Let‘s call this a pick minus. I enjoyed the sleuthing elements, and the secrets of the trunk. But Nancy just happening to “listen in” on a finger-spelling conversation that mentions her by name, on the dock in Rotterdam? Not so much.
Number 17 down for #nancydrewchallenge (skipping number 18 and the exploding oranges, alternate title to come later).
Captain Detweiler whistled. “Longstreet is the name of a famous jewelry firm in England. I understand they have branches in many cities all over the #world.” #QuotsyFeb19

Nancy gets involved with jewel thieves in a mystery on board an oceanliner. Pure nostalgia for me. I love these books.

I got my first Homemade Decades box (1930s) last week - it was filled with great stuff!
Along with the book sleeve, book, and scrabble tile decoration, there was a Wizard of Oz coloring book and pencils, candy, bracelet, charm keychain, and a cute Madeline tote! Lots and lots of loveliness, I was thrilled to see all of these awesome presents!
Thank you so much, @mrsamandahood !
