It‘s been a few crazy months but feels good to be back on Litsy! With everything that‘s been going on had a pretty good month of reading!
This is a beautiful story of family and how secrets impact generations.
Kate travels to the family vineyard in France to study for her Master of Wine test and discovers lots of family secrets. Who hid the valuable wine? What else was the hidden room used for? Who was the great-aunt & why is she unknown?

This is my favorite type of book-a book where you care about the characters & laugh with them and cry with them and want to shake them when they make questionable choices. It is a story of friendship and family and long kept secrets. Larkin and her family and friends are characters that I invested in and when the book ended I wanted to know what happens next. 4 ⭐️

Allison & her family are finally living her dream, moving to New York City. But when they arrive it is not what she thought it was going to be - their apartment is tiny, her kids are having a tough time, her job falls through, & the other Moms at school are mean. A story of making changes, embracing the bumps in the road, & recreating yourself to make it work. 4 ⭐️

It's Farmers Market season!! Which means Saturday mornings shopping for fresh produce at the Farmers Market & stopping for breakfast at my favorite bagel place! Perfect start to weekend!
What seems like an all to typical story of a woman being abused & taken advantage of by a male that gets away with his actions becomes so much more. This experience allows Greer, a quiet over achiever, to find her 'outside voice'.It is a story of women finding their way & making mistakes in the world of men. I really enjoyed this book! it makes you feel & think.

It's warm tonight so I'm reading on the porch before temperatures plummet 30 degrees tomorrow... I'm really ready for spring to finally decide to stay!
first adult novel by the author of Pretty Little Liars & it is a crazy ride that is reminiscent of those books. Eliza is sure she is going crazy, she has all these strange and terrifying memories. The more she looks into things the more confused she becomes, memories are startlingly like the novel she wrote. What is real and what is fiction and who can she trust?

Oh my heart! This is so good!!! It‘s one of my favorite books this year!!! In alternating chapters, "Now" and "Then", readers are pulled into the story and how such an intense connection could be severed. Macy and Elliott have not spoken in 15 years when a chance meeting alters their life's. A beautiful story of love and loss that grabbed hold of my heart.

Monday morning means it‘s time to get up & move! I really DO NOT like getting up early to exercise but I‘ve found my day goes better if I move before work, I can check off something from my list & can usually squeeze in a little reading (I really need to start listening to audiobooks on the treadmill but have yet to find a pair of headphones I like). What do you do to start your week on right foot?
@hermyknee is having a #coffeecoffeecoffee & coffee & books are 2 of my favorite things!!
It was as hard to pick a favorite mug as it was to pick a favorite book!! This mug is from our last family vacation & my married daughter has same one. When I drink from it I can remember our vacation or imagine we are drinking coffee together.
Women in Sunlight is about friendship, taking chances & creating a life you love. Plus it's set in Tuscany!
This was a fascinating look at women code breakers during World War II. These were women, that because of secrecy agreements, were unrecognized for the major contributions they made to the war effort. I listened on audio & enjoyed the female narrator. 4 ⭐️
Caught this nice number this morning!! 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you!!!! Love having this place to talk & gush about books!!!
I LOVE this book!4 1/2 ⭐️read! It is a story of finding friends in the most unlikely place & them becoming your family as you create the life you want. 3 women meet at a tour for a retirement community but none of them really want to move there. Instead they rent a house in Tuscany where they discover things about themselves & begin to create the rest of their lives. Is there any better way to start the day than a few minutes with a book? It's going to be hard to get out the door this morning because I'm so close to finishing the book!
Reading Other People‘s Houses by Abbi Waxman is like being dropped into a neighborhood you recognize. The characters are women you are friends with or want to be friends with & you will laugh & cry along with them. It is a story of every day- love, life, raising kids & being part of a relationship. 4 ⭐️

March was a good month for reading - 15 ARCs & 2 audiobooks. My absolute favorite was the tagged book & cant wait for its release in April so everyone can enjoy it!!!
This will have you asking how well do you really know your friends.
After a girls night of wine & kid free time Kristin & her twins are gone & no one knows why. As the police get involved theories start to fly including that her Ob-Gyn husband is abusive. The lives of all the women are changed as they deal with the aftermath & how their pasts figure in to it. 4 ⭐️

This keeps you guessing about who is telling the truth.
Things are not as pleasant as outward impressions would have you believe on Pleasant Court. All of the women are keeping secrets & when a single woman moves in to this family neighborhood everyone wonders why. When Essie becomes obsessed with the new neighbor everything begins to unravel.

Hot mess flight attendant Cassie spends a drunken night with a passenger in his hotel in Dubai & wakes up next to a dead body. She has no memory of the night &!no desire to end up in a prison in the Middle East so she flees. But the night & her lack of memory haunts her & the FBI are asking tough questions. A crazy ride as Cassie tries to figure out what really happened.

Just finished listening & really enjoyed it!! Can't wait for the next 1 to come out! Crime comes to the village of Three Pines & Superintendent Gamache must find a way to protect his family & friends along with all of Quebec. The audio was wonderful- 1 reader did all of the characters & was very convincing & enjoyable.
I could not put It down! 10 years after a trip to France that ended with the breakup of a relationship & the disappearance of a French girl the police find the body & reopen the case. What really happened on that long ago trip? Was it really as they remembered or did something sinister happen? Their friendship, their businesses, & even their lives may be at risk.

What do you do when you wake up one day & don‘t recognize yourself?. After almost 30 years of marriage Maggie‘s husband leaves her & she has to ‘find herself‘. What she does next surprises everyone, including herself! A 4 ⭐️read that has you rooting for Maggie!!

Zadie and Emma have been best friends for years and weathered triumphs and tragedies as they completed medical school and created lives. But now a secret from the past is threatening to destroy them. Will their friendship? A story of friends and life and love that hooked me from the first page and made me feel like they were my friends.

Tagging along with my husband to his conference gave me a pretty amazing reading view...It's a Small World in Disneyland
Oh my! My head is still spinning after finishing this & I've reread the ending twice!
What would you do if your son is suddenly in love with a girl that you just don't trust? And things go from bad to worse & no one believes you? I had to put this down as I was reading because Cherry, the girlfriend, was getting under my skin & I wanted to help Laura, the mom.

Finished this audiobook today & I‘m sad because it is probably going to be the last in this series & I‘ve really enjoyed all of them!! This one is about the Grey sisters, the granddaughters of Henry theVIIIs sister, who are cousins to Queen Elizabeth & should be in line for the throne. Instead 1 after another they all end up prisoners of the Queen. By the end of this book I was not a fan of Elizabeth!!
Louisa Clark is back & its like catching up with an old friend!! This time she sets off to New York City to have an adventure of her own. When things go awry Louisa has to be true to herself to have the life that makes her happy. This is my favorite book in this series! I made myself slow down reading so the book lasted longer.

Book 7 in the #24in48 readathon & I‘m losing steam. A story of for profit law schools & the miserable prospects of their graduates & a scheme to bring it to light but several students. It was easy to read but I was never attached to any of the characters.
Finished book 6 in the #24in48 readathon & it was a good one. A story of a Mom afraid of life after a tragic accident killed her husband, a teenage girl yearning to escape a high school which is far from the safe haven her Mom thinks it is & a mystery from the past. A story of family, and love, and life, and living when nothing is certain. 4 ⭐️ read & a great way to start day 2.
Good morning!!! Ready to start day 2 of the #24in48 readathon!! Map of the Heart starts in Delaware & I spent every summer growing up there & my parents retired there so it‘s making me smile on this early morning.
Hooray!!! Book 5 in the #24in48 readathon was finally a 4 ⭐️read!!! Not sure why I put off reading this for so long but I‘m glad I finally read it! Australian Federal Agent Aaron returns to the town he fled from as a teenager after being accused of a girls death because his childhood best friend Luke & his family have been brutally murdered & Luke is accused of committing the crimes & killing himself. And Aaron doesn‘t receive a warm welcome
Another book finished in #24in48 readathon!!! I‘ve been able to finish 3 because they were quick reading books, they‘ve been ok but not good. Stephanie Plum can always be counted on to get into ridiculous situations with Lola & her Grandma and Morelli and Ranger can be counted on to get her out of them. This time its babysitting a boa constrictor & finding brain eating Zombies. Quick read. I just wish she‘d decide between Ranger & Morelli already!
Book 2 of #24in48 finished!! Told in alternating chapters, between author Liza & her new book. author Liza is struggling to write her next novel, dealing with hormone treatments in her quest to get pregnant, & helping her lawyer husband deal with the disappearance of his law partner & best friend. The book focuses on Beth & her cheating lawyer husband. When the missing man is found Liza‘s husband is arrested but what if life is mirroring her book?
